Quote1I really want to hurt you. But Wolverine wants me to be a good person. Zelda wanted me to be a good person too. Despite everything you did to us, I want to be a good person.

Gabrielle is one of at least ten clones of Wolverine,[1] the youngest of the Sisters, created by Alchemax Genetics, a division of Alchemax. The project was overseen by Robert Chandler, with security provided by Captain Mooney. The girls were created and trained to serve as bodyguards for humanitarian missions and other personnel.[2] Like Laura before them, they were often mistreated by their handlers, particularly Mooney,[3] but the older sisters did their best to protect her from the worst of the abuse. She was incapable of feeling pain, the result of the nanites implanted in her body that were slowly killing her. With six of her sisters dead due to deaths on missions, or as a result of the nanites, she escaped along with Zelda, Bellona, and X23_3PAR.[1] They were aided in their escape by Kimura, who armed and equipped them before sending them after Alchemax out of revenge for stealing property from The Facility. [4]

history

Revenge on Alchemax Genetics With weapons supplied by Kimura, the Sisters launched a campaign against Alchemax, aiming to assassinate its staff. Gabby, however, quickly became disillusioned with her sisters' more extreme measures. So, when 3PAR headed to Paris to assassinate Chandler's son, she sent an anonymous note to Wolverine to warn her. [2] Laura successfully thwarted the assassination attempt, however, 3PAR committed suicide rather than be captured. [5] Gabby sought out Laura directly afterward and confronted her about 3PAR's death, and admitted that she was the one who sent the note. She then fled Laura's apartment after setting it on fire as a distraction, and returned to the sewers where the rest of the girls were hiding. Laura followed her, and against Gabby's objections, was shot four times in the chest by Bellona to incapacitate her; however, Captain Mooney was unwittingly following her, and the Sisters freed her to help them deal with the Alchemax soldiers swarming their hideout, before Taskmaster arrived and shot the three escaped clones.

They survived due to their body armor and with Laura's help escaped into the streets of New York. She led them to the Sanctum Sanctorum to seek Doctor Strange's help with whatever was killing the girls. [3] After a misadventure with a monster that Bellona inadvertently released from a cabinet of horrors, Strange teleported the group to New York Hospital, where he successfully located the nanites that were killing Zelda. Unable to operate on them himself, he sent the girls to Pym's lab to borrow an Ant-Man Suit, so that Laura could enter Zelda's body to fight the nanites directly. [1] They were interrupted by Wasp; however, Jan was eventually convinced to help them. She and Laura were able to successfully combat the devices, but their attack set off a warning beacon, alerting Mooney to the girls' location. He attacked them in the lab and was able to fatally wound Zelda before Laura and Jan could restrain him. [6] Taking advantage of her prisoner, Laura devised a plan to destroy Alchemax Genetics for good, allowing Mooney to escape and lead them to her secret bunker. She and Bellona changed outfits, and Laura allowed herself to be killed and taken to the base. Gabby and Bellona later entered the bunker with her help, and she later helped Bellona take out Captain Mooney. Bellona refused to allow Gabby to watch her kill him, and after the deed was done, she took her leave. Gabby protested, but Bellona reminded her that they had an agreement with Kimura. Gabby rushed to meet Laura and ran into her to make a comment to Chandler about the girls' helplessness. As they were about to leave, Gabby asked to spend a moment alone with Chandler, to which Laura agreed.

Gabby approached the project director who created her and admitted that she really wanted to kill him; however, because Laura and Zelda wanted her to be a good person, and "she herself" wished to be good, she refrained from doing so and contented herself with scaring him by extending a claw, something Chandler didn't think either of the girls had manifested on his face. She then left him there and hurried off to catch up with Laura, admitting that she was scared of the idea of having to decide her own future. Laura expressed her understanding and pride that Gabby held back from killing Chandler as they drove away from the Hand base before S.H.I.E.L.D. arrived.

Moving forward Following the takedown of Alchemax Genetics, Gabby briefly stayed at Laura's apartment while it was decided what would become of her next. Spurred on by Logan's example, Laura preferred to find her a new home that would offer greater security and a chance at a normal life, which Gabby was unlikely to find with her. However, Gabby was upset by this prospect, as she felt that with Zelda and Bellona gone, Laura was all the family she had left. However, Laura eventually realized that Logan was wrong when he sent her to the Xavier Institute, and reconsidered. She agreed that the best place for Gabby would be with her, and asked her to stay permanently. The new home also came with a new pet as Gabby happily adopted a wolverine named Jonathan that Squirrel Girl rescued from a laboratory. [7] Despite growing closer to her new sister, Gabby refused to tell Laura the full truth about herself. She failed to hide it upon encountering an alternate-future Logan: he revealed that he had met her in his home reality. Logan immediately demanded to know if Gabby meant to harm Laura. She denied his accusation, and Logan seemed to accept it. However, he later attempted to warn Laura of Gabby's actions in her own future. She refused to even listen, pointing out that the two realities are not the same. Any further debate ended when Captain America arrived in search of Logan because the Inhuman Ulysses predicted that Logan would kill Gabby and SHIELD was quick to intercept him before he could carry out the assassination. However, SHIELD's efforts to prevent Ulysses' vision eventually led directly to its apparent fulfillment: after her attempts to restrain Logan only drove him into a blind rage, Gabby took it upon herself to catch up with him and try to calm him down. Unfortunately,

Unfortunately, Logan mistook her for Gabrielle from his reality and lashed out, impaling her with his claws. [8] Although declared dead at the scene by Rogers, Gabby actually survived her injuries because, unlike her other sisters, she "did" inherit Laura's healing factor. She was quick to intervene in the fight between Laura and Logan that ensued in the wake of her apparent death and managed to defuse the situation. Gabby revealed her powers to Laura and apologized for not telling her sooner. Laura broke off any chance of a relationship with Logan, and Gabby warned him to never bother her again, otherwise she would "humiliate" him like a rabid dog. She subsequently joined Laura when she retired from preparing for the Second Superhero Civil War. [9]

Enemy of the State II After seemingly killing the entire civilian population of Daylesville, California,[10] Laura was arrested by S.H.I.E.L.D.; however, her behavior had been influenced by gunfire scent dropped from a Madripoorian aircraft. After escaping custody, Laura and Gabby sought passage on a pirate ship to reach Madripoor in search of answers. Unfortunately, Captain Ash turned out to be part of an underground child trafficking ring, and though Gabby and Laura saved the children, it was not before he was sold to Kimura, who was responsible for pulling the trigger in the first place.[11] Laura was captured by Roughouse and Bellona, who were working for Kimura.[12] Gabby was put in a container with the children, [13] but escaped with Jonathan and returned to Madripoor with Gambit, Angel, and Marvel Girl. [14] Gabby then saved Bellona's life and convinced her to stop fighting for Kimura, who had experimented heavily on her. After Laura drowned Kimura in the ocean with her bare hands, Gabby came into the water when Bellona admitted that she had murdered the Californians for whom Laura was blamed. Bellona was arrested by S.H.I.E.L.D. after telling Laura to take care of Gabby.

Otherworldly Encounters After returning to New York City, the pair began tracking down those responsible for the child trafficking ring they had encountered during their trip to Madripoor when Roosevelt Island, speaking Laura's name to Ironheart with her dying breath. [16] The child had brought a deadly contagion that came to be known as the Laura Kinney Virus and forced the island into quarantine. Against Laura's wishes, Gabby smuggled herself onto Roosevelt Island and helped thwart AIM's attempt to steal the alien's corpse. [17] They were then joined by Logan, Daken, and Deadpool and the combined healing factors of the five helped cure all of those infected. [18] With the help of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Laura traced the alien child's point of origin to Rhittle's Moon; [19] however, the Brood took Gabby and transformed her into their Brood queen.

Age of X-Man Gabrielle Kinney (Earth-616) from Age of X-Man Prisoner Gabby in the Danger Room Prison Complex Gabby was one of Nate's prisoners at the Danger Room Prison Complex under the supervision of Warden Forge. She was with a fellow prisoner when Forge brought in the former X-Man, Bishop,[21] after he was arrested by Department X.[22] Gabby then pushed Bishop out of her way in the breakfast line when she told him she was still hungry, but was ignored by him as he thought she was in a conversation with someone else, which turned out to be no one. Gabby said that she was like Lorna, as they both knew the same unseen people. Later, Gabby played basketball with the other prisoners in the yard, but was interrupted by Bishop, who said that they both had gotten on the wrong foot and wondered if he had scared her or something. Gabby interrupted him and said that she could take him out. Bishop then asked her if they knew each other before she came to the prison, as he had flashes or memories of her. [21] She disagreed with him and told him that she would remember someone as annoying as him, and then reaffirmed that he was just like Lorna. Gabby said that she should take a nap as it helps when her brain gets foggy, and that she also wouldn't tell Hank that he reappeared. Bishop was later attacked by Hank because Gabby had lied to Bishop about not telling him anything. [21]

skills:

Powers and Abilities Powers Gabrielle Kinney was cloned from the mutant Laura Kinney,[1] thus possessing powers similar to those of Laura's father, Logan.[citation needed] Gabrielle's accelerated cellular regeneration increases her natural strength, speed, agility, stamina, and reflexes. Regenerative Healing Factor: Gabby's body naturally regenerates most (if not all) damaged or destroyed tissues and organs at a rate exceeding that of any baseline human. Though Alchemax believed otherwise, Gabrielle possesses this ability. Interestingly, she still possesses her facial scars. [9] It is currently unclear if her healing abilities provide the same side effects (increased strength, senses, stamina, etc.) as Laura's, or how she is affected by the nanites infesting her bloodstream. Slowed Aging: Gabby inherited a life expectancy similar to her father's. Retractable Bone Claws: Gabby's skeleton includes two foot-long retractable bone claws, one on each arm, which lie beneath the skin and muscles of her forearms. Gabrielle could, at will, release these slightly curved claws through her skin between the knuckles of each hand. The bone claws are naturally sharp and harder than normal human bone, allowing them to penetrate most flesh and many natural materials. [4][17] Superhuman Acute Senses: Gabby's superhuman senses are a combination of a separate mutant ability and her Healing Factor, as her sensory organs atrophy at a much slower rate than basal humans. Her most enhanced senses are sight, hearing, and smell. [23] Insensitivity to Pain: As a result of Alchemax Genetics' experiments, Gabby is unable to feel pain.

Krakow Gabrielle Kinney (Earth-616) from X-Men Red Vol 1 6 001 Upon moving to Krakoa, Gabby eventually met Logan and became closer to him and Akihiro. She usually chose to bond with them by playing violent games, such as Russian Roulette with her claws, joining fights together, [37] and playing a game called "Claws Out". She developed a habit of showing up at the Boneyard to see her older brother once he joined X-Factor; much to her disappointment, he began standing her up after he began dating her teammate Aurora. [38] Later, Gabby began training with other young mutants in an effort to synergize their powers, guided by the New Mutants. She particularly gravitated towards Warpath for mentorship. [39][40] After learning that Madelyne Pryor was not entitled to Krakoan resurrection due to being a clone, Gabby began to wonder if she, too, would be abandoned upon death.

She would eventually become concerned about the time her friends Martha Johansson, Rain Boy, Cosmar, and Anole were spending with the Shadow King (Amahl Farouk), but could not tell Laura about it because she was on a mission in the Vault and the other adults were of little help. She was eventually forced to confront Farouk directly about these concerns, but was found dead the next day. [41] Worried that The Five would not resurrect her, Martha possessed her so that her friends could attempt to resurrect her themselves using skills they learned from The Shadow King. [42] Fortunately, The Five decided to follow their consciences and resurrect her. When she was reborn, she said the last thing she remembered was seeing the Shadow King and Rahne Sinclair, feeling pain, and then nothing. [12] Gabby, the Lost Club, Rahne, Warpath, Magik, Mirage, and Karma set out to get answers after it became apparent that the Shadow King had controlled Rahne into killing Gabby. [43] Though she was eager to confront the Shadow King, she complained of her mentors' unwillingness to tell the difference between the Shadow King and his unwitting host Farouk. Armed with their powers and trust in each other, the group managed to break through the Shadow King's nightmarish illusions and destroy him, freeing Farouk and granting Gabby her vengeance.

Gabby then joined her siblings in aiding Omega Wolverine, a version of their father from a grim future in which they and most everyone else were killed after Moira MacTaggert enlisted the Sentinels to annihilate Krakoa. Desperate to prevent this, Omega Wolverine prevented a Phalanx infection as they pursued the present-day Moira and was overtaken by her after successfully killing her. Their father arrived to confront this rogue version of himself and killed him. [45] After reconciling with her brother, plagued by guilt over not being around when she needed him,[40] Gabby planned a road trip to bond with the entire family. While in Nevada, they stumbled upon crazed mustelid taxidermists who were also obsessed with her family, as wolverines and honey badgers are mustelids. After escaping the trappers, the family recruited Nature Girl to dismantle the rest of the operations and continued on their journey.[46] Following the fall of Krakoa and the forced exodus of the mutant race, Gabby was one of the many who evaded being trapped in the Deep White Room outside of time and space. Those trapped reappeared some time later, having spent 15 years transforming their piece of Krakoa into a beautiful utopia. When the Neo-Krakoans decided to return to the Deep White Room, Gabby sadly watched along with the others as their former home disappeared once again, peacefully and seemingly out of reach forever.

personality

Although she was abused by Alchemax Genetics, her older sisters largely protected her from the worst of their treatment. As a result, she escaped with her innocence more or less intact. Doctor Strange observed with the Eye of Agamotto that she was, in fact, an innocent despite her early actions,[13] and it is this enduring kindness that led her to reject her older sisters' vengeful bloodshed.[6] When she first emancipated herself from Alchemax, Gabby was naive and overly trusting; as she gained life experience with Laura and as a student of the New Mutants, she became perceptive and very outspoken. [39] Gabby is imaginative [3] and seems to enjoy writing. [11] [40] She formed a group called the "Lost Club" with her close friends Cosmar, Cerebella, Rain Boy, and Anole; with this older, more distant group, she often ends up being the voice of reason. [7] Gabby desires familial connections and strives to be close to her genetic relations, who in turn have warmly accepted her. She has little insecurity about her nature as a clone; Gabby greatly enjoys being with Laura and they are fiercely loyal to each other. [21] Though she is sometimes annoyed by his overprotectiveness, Gabby is also close with her older brother Akihiro. [40] Additionally, she enjoys spending time with her father Logan, [48] who attempts to give her father-daughter experiences. [46] [49] Due to her confidence and physical durability, she has no problem taking on adults in combat and enjoys being rowdy with her father and siblings.

Equipment Gabby was equipped with a bulletproof vest and an armored mask. [citation needed] Like all the Sisters, Gabby's bloodstream is riddled with nanomachines. This provides her with a complete insensitivity to pain, however, in the other girls it resulted in a considerable reduction in their lifespan. It is unclear how the nanites are affected by (or affect) her healing factor. [citation needed] Arms While on the run with the other sisters, Gabby carried a pair of MAC-10 submachine guns;[citation needed] however, after coming under Laura's care, she abandoned firearms and more recently began carrying nunchucks,[50] and a pair of brass knuckles that spell out the words "HONEY" and "BADGER".
