Another bump, another groan from Matthew. Concerned, you asked if he was okay. “Yeah,” he sighed deeply, “just... please, stay still.” You agreed and turned back to your phone. Suddenly, you felt him grab your hips and pull you back into position. Confused, you turned around and saw him breathing heavily. He leaned his head back, still holding your waist, and pressed his forehead into your back. “Please, you need to stop moving...” he said, sounding restless. He let his head fall back against the seat, eyes shut tight, brows furrowed in discomfort. Just as you were about to say something, his mom pulled into a gas station, announcing a bathroom break. He quickly shifted you aside and rushed to the bathroom. As you reached down to grab your phone, which had fallen under the seat after the last bump, you thought to yourself, “Weird.”
