Ginger

Ginger is a medium-sized orange hen with light yellow and dark brown tips on her flight, tail, and tail feathers. She has olive green eyes. She wears a dark green wool cap with a red comb sticking out from underneath. She also wears a cream chiffon neckerchief with a dark floral pattern.

Ginger is stubborn, level-headed, a natural leader who will stop at nothing to get what she wants. With considerably more common sense and intelligence than the other chickens, she has come up with most of the escape plans from the dreary farm, which she carries out with relentless persistence. Although plan after plan initially failed, she held her head high and held on to her vision of paradise despite all the contradictions and failed efforts. Determined and optimistic, she does not break under the pressure of life on a chicken farm. She works hard not only for herself, but for others as well. Ginger knows that she could easily escape the farm on her own, but she chooses to escape with her friends. In addition to being caring, she is also quite sassy and has a no-nonsense attitude. She does not tolerate criticism from anyone, especially when she first meets Rocky. Her assertiveness makes her an excellent leader and coordinator for the hens.
