Spider-Gwen is the alter ego of Gwen Stacy from Earth-65, who assumes the identity of Spider-Woman after being bitten by a radioactive spider, is a fictional character from Marvel Comics who first appeared in the story Edge of Spider-Verse #2 from September 2014. Her debut was exceptionally popular, so much so that after, she went on to star in her own series called Spider-Gwen, which premiered in February 2015. This series explores the universe known as Earth-65, an alternate reality where instead of Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy was bitten by the radioactive spider, becoming the Spider-Woman of her world. In the alternate reality called Earth-65, Gwen Stacy is bitten by a radioactive spider and becomes a superhero called Spider-Woman. She is also a member of a band led by Mary Jane Watson and lives in conflict at home with her father, Captain Stacy. Her identity is secret and even while studying, playing in a band and working as an assistant in a chemical laboratory, Gwen has time to fight for justice.
