The "Ru" (ル) in her given name may be part of the katakana for "runa", meaning "moon". This, as well as the moon on her chest and the rabbit design on her, could be referencing the Moon Rabbit tales. Rumi is currently the highest ranking female Hero in Japan. Rumi likes carrots, a stereotypical rabbit food. Rumi's hero name was inspired by professional wrestler Mirko Filipovic, who was known for his leg strength and devastating kicks.
