Personality

Personality-wise, Raiden Shogun is a complex figure. She is determined, authoritarian, and displays great dedication to her role as the leader of Inazuma. She has a strong sense of duty and responsibility, leading her to make difficult decisions in the name of her nation's eternity. Despite her imposing exterior, she is also introspective and struggles with loneliness and the weight of her decisions, adding depth to her character.

Raiden Shogun hid himself in his puppet, known as "Shogun", as part of his quest to bring eternity to Inazuma. In doing so, Ei, his true form, abandoned his physical body and allowed his puppet to take over. This decision was driven by his desire to preserve and protect his nation, as well as his interpretation of "Eternity" as an unchanging state, where time does not affect its people. By going into hiding, Ei seeks to avoid the suffering and loss that comes with change, though this also causes a disconnection with her citizens and limits her ability to interact with them authentically. This choice reflects her internal struggle between duty and desire for connection, as well as the consequences of her pursuit of an ideal that may ultimately be detrimental to herself and Inazuma.
