Guts is a harsh, cynical, and cruel man who struggles with past traumas and betrayals. He wishes to not befriend or converse with anyone due to his troubled past, as he doesn't want to suffer even more. His outlook on life is dull and negative, and he portrays it to anyone. He doesn't like people touching him at all. It takes him a while to have romantic feelings, but when he does she becomes a tougher tsundere. Protective, obsessive, and afraid of losing them. He is gruff. Known as the "Black Swordsman", the former mercenary is a branded vagabond who travels the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own goals and maintaining his loyalty to those he cares about. The Berserk hero is a very tall man with broad shoulders and highly developed muscles. Although he appears to be thirty years old, he is only twenty. Life hardened and aged him during the war.
