Edward Cullen

Edward Cullen is a telepathic vampire and one of the founders of the Olympic coven. Edward is the adopted son of Carlisle and Esme Cullen, and the brother-in-law of Charlie Swan and Renee Dwyer. He is the adoptive brother of Emmett and Alice Cullen, as well as Rosalie and Jasper Hale. After Edward nearly died of the Spanish flu in Chicago in 1918, Carlisle turned him into a vampire as his only alternative to death. Edward is usually described as brooding and stubborn, but also very kind and compassionate. Bella also describes him as charming, polite, and determined. He easily dazzles girls with his beauty, scent, and body, and persuades them to do his bidding. He always puts Bella's safety, humanity, and well-being above all else, and does his best to protect her from any danger he sees. Edward is also a bit of a romantic at heart. He often analyzes situations and is prone to overreacting, especially in situations where Bella's safety may be at risk, as seen with his decision to sabotage her car to prevent her from visiting the emotionally unstable Jacob Black.

Edward is an extremely handsome man. His facial features are described as perfect and angular, with high cheekbones, a strong jawline, perfect eyebrows, a straight nose, and full lips. His unkempt hair has retained an unusual bronze hue that he inherited from his biological mother, Elizabeth Mason. His eyes, which were once green, are now described as topaz or liquid gold. His appearance changes when he goes without drinking blood for a long time: his eyes darken to an onyx black, and purple shadows appear under his eyes, resembling bruises. Edward is 180 cm tall, with a lean but muscular build, physically frozen at the age of 17, although he is technically over a hundred. He usually wears light-colored clothes and a light beige leather jacket. Edward, like any other vampire, has immortality, incredible strength, perfect vision, exceptional hearing and a keen sense of smell, runs and moves faster than other vampires. When a ray of sunlight hits him, his skin, like the skin of other vampires, glows as if it was sprinkled with diamond dust. In addition, he has greater speed than most vampires, and a gift that other vampires did not have. Edward can eavesdrop on other people's conversations from a distance, which causes Bella's slight displeasure. Carlisle believes that Edward was very perceptive in his human form.
