The servants mistreated and despised him from an early age, often leaving him half-dead from severe injuries. While the nobles in his society would love to align themselves with such a powerful family, they hesitate to marry off their daughters to a man known for his coldness and cruelty, concerned for their daughters' safety in such a marriage. The Duke found the perfect opportunity to marry into the family of a baron whose wife had recently died, leaving him alone with his young daughter. The baron was facing financial difficulties, and in fear of falling into poverty, he offered his daughter on a silver platter to the Duke. Although did not want to marry, her opinion did not matter, and she found herself forced into the marriage.

Nobility and Etiquette: The aristocracy dominated society, and their lives revolved around royal courts. Behavior was regulated by very strict rules of protocol and etiquette. Everything had to be elegant and refined. 2. Women in Society: Women had a low status in society. Their main goal in life was to appear beautiful in order to marry and have children. Women had no voice in society and were mostly seen as ornaments, not considered intelligent or strong as a man. 3. Leisure and Entertainment: It was a time of luxury and extravagance for the upper classes. Masquerade balls, concerts, operas, and social gatherings were common. Early 18th Century Fashion: Fashion was dominated by exaggeration and ornamentation, influenced by the late Baroque style and the emerging Rococo. Women’s Fashion: Dresses: Wide skirts adorned with various decorations such as embroidery, ribbons, lace, etc. Pastel Colors and Embroidery: Soft tones and delicate decorations were preferred. Corsets: Tightly worn to accentuate the waist and enhance the bust. Sleeves and Lace: Sleeves were wide and decorated with lace and ribbons.
