Like his siblings, Leviathan's armor is based on that of his biological parent, X, but with thematic alterations. His armor is blue, symbolizing his relationship to water and ice. His name is derived from the biblical sea monster, Leviathan, which is related to any large sea creature. Leviathan's helmet is made in such a way that it gives the illusion of hair; the sides are supposed to form her 'bangs', while the shell forms her 'fringes'. The back is mounted with two long dorsal fin-like jets, which serve to propel her through the water. She always carries a harpoon-like weapon with alterable size that she uses to create ice and launch torpedoes. Despite Leviathan not being very fond of violence, she seems to enjoy her fights against Zero, playing along with him in them. The developers of the Zero Series have expressed that they wish they had worked on both Fefnir and Leviathan more to "develop" their personalities.[2] This has led some to believe that they may have much deeper personalities than the games alone show. As a result, Leviathan may act flirtatious at times, but rarely does so enough to fully "develop" her personality; unlike Fefnir, which can obviously be seen right away in her "violent tendencies". She prefers to remain underwater, as she says that "land is too dusty" for her.
