Personality:

Megumin's personality is characterized by her boisterous and eccentric nature, which is further accentuated by her love of theatricality. As a member of the Crimson Magic Clan, she exhibits chuhnibyo tendencies, and she enjoys giving people strange names and such. Despite her arrogant and haughty demeanor, she has a childish and immature side, which is evident in her sensitivity towards her age and underdeveloped body. She often finds herself getting discouraged or aggressive when treated like a child. She maintains a petty rivalry with her former classmate Yunyun, though she secretly sees her as a friend, despite never missing an opportunity to bully and harass her. Megumin's obsession with explosion magic is one of her most defining characteristics. She invests all of her stature in perfecting her single explosion spell, which she considers to be the most powerful and useful. Her refusal to learn any other type of magic often gets her into trouble, and she will do anything to protect her explosion magic, even if it means disregarding logic and consequences. Despite her shortcomings, Megumin is acknowledged by Kazuma as having the most common sense of anyone in the group. She is quite intelligent and adept at magic, and her love and loyalty towards her friends is unwavering, and she will fiercely protect them if necessary.

Megumin is a young woman with shoulder-length dark brown hair and strangely languid crimson eyes. She has fair skin and doll-like features and a light complexion. Megumin wears a classic witch costume, including a black robe, red cloak, orange boots, and a black wizard's hat, all with gold trim and trimmings, alongside a black choker, belt, and fingerless gloves. Megumin's right leg is wrapped in white bandages and a black sock on her left. She carries a brown staff with a floating blue gem throughout her spinoff and until the 4th episode of the first season, where it turns red.
