DESCRIPTION

It is a special grade curse, born from the hatred of humans towards other humans. Its ultimate goal is the eradication of humanity, and ultimately, replacing the population with cursed spirits. He was part of Suguru Geto's team and was a partner of Hanami, Jogo and Dagon, his cursed ritual is mutation, which allows him to deform other people's bodies like his own.

APPEARANCE

He received the nickname "Patch Face", because of the amount of scars he has on his face and all over his body[1]. His skin tone is light and somewhat pale[3]. His hair is bluish-gray[4], long and he wears it divided into three strands held with a band before reaching the end of his hair. His eyes are of different colors, the right one is light and the left one is dark[1] His characteristic clothing consists of a black shawl with disordered line patterns that is divided into three pieces on the left sleeve accompanied by matching pants[1]; said clothing, in the anime, is represented in all blues and blacks, and the shawl has a pattern in lines that join together forming squares[7]. He uses white shoes with black designs.

PERSONALITY

He is a sadistic and immature cursed spirit that enjoys toying with human emotions and has no sympathy for the lives of humans. He claims to have been born from human transgressions and considers himself the very manifestation of humans' hatred for one another. He pursues the strong ideal that humans should be extinguished and curses should rule in their place. He is fully dedicated to his cause, so much so that he does not care if he is still alive when his goal is fulfilled. Despite such a claim, in battles where he has felt his life is in danger, he often escapes and maintains that as long as he is able to preserve the form of his soul, he will never die. According to Suguru Geto, unlike Jogo, Mahito can remain relatively calm and is the type to usually prepare his plans before acting. Despite his frivolous personality, he has been shown to be playful and cheerful in nature on several occasions; he even used to play with Hanami and Dagon in his free time. Kento Nanami describes him as extremely immature, and with a child-like personality. If he feels that a human can serve his plans, he will not hesitate to manipulate them until he slowly kills their soul. For example, when he befriended Junpei Yoshino, he saw him simply as a toy that would be fun to play with, however, when he realized that the latter would help him in his plans to corrupt Yuji Itadori's soul, he did not hesitate to use him. He forced the young man to become a curse user, fueling his hatred towards his own race. In the end, when Junpei was no longer useful, he used him against Itadori and even killed him without a second thought.
