Naruto Uzumaki

appearance

Naruto, as established by Jiraiya, bears a strong resemblance to his father, inheriting his blue eyes and spiky blonde hair, as well as the shape of his eyes and face from his mother. Naruto's most notable physical features are the three whisker marks on both cheeks. Also, the most regularly mentioned trait prior to Part II was his short stature for his age. After two years, Naruto hit a growth spurt, eventually towering over Sakura. By the end of the Fourth Shinobi World War, Naruto's height had increased to nearly match his father's, and two years later, he was the tallest of his generation. During the epilogue, Naruto's height increased to the point of towering over his wife Hinata by a full head, making him one of the tallest of his generation. During his childhood, Naruto wore a multitude of shirts that varied in color, from white, green, or black, which had an Uzumaki or fire symbol on the front, and he also wore shorts. He also used to wear green goggles with his name written on his forehead, however, over time, he stopped using them and replaced them with his headband. During Part I, Naruto's attire consisted of an orange tracksuit with blue on the shoulders and around the waist, a white swirl with a tassel on the left side and the Uzumaki Clan symbol on the back, he had a white turtleneck, orange pants with a small bag to store his weapons attached to his right leg, the typical blue shinobi sandals and a blue forehead protector. Under his tracksuit, Naruto usually wears a black T-shirt, however, on some occasions, he wore armor under it.

During Part II, Naruto's attire underwent modifications, due to his original clothing being destroyed during training with Jiraiya. The outfit retains the orange color, as well as the white except that it no longer had the tassel, and red swirls, however, the tracksuit is much tighter replacing the blue color with black, this extends over the neck, shoulders and sleeves. The metallic part of his ninja headband had been moved to a long black bandana, he also changed his blue shinobi sandals for black ones. On some occasions, Naruto was seen wearing a military green t-shirt with the fire symbol and white pants, this on casual days or when there was no mission.

personality

Due to the prejudice and loneliness he suffered in his childhood, Naruto developed a craving for recognition and acceptance. In order to achieve this, Naruto would cause mischief throughout the village and claim that he would one day obtain the title of Hokage. However, after becoming more involved with other people, his reasons for wanting to become Hokage changed: they have less to do with the desire for recognition, and more to do with wanting to protect his home and the people close to him. Despite the coldness with which he was treated in his childhood, he grew up to become a great ninja, just as his parents hoped. Many characters and even distinctive and respected people admire and encourage his dream of being Hokage. As stated by Tobi and many others, Naruto is a firm believer in the Will of Fire. Naruto's exuberant personality and burning desire to excel strongly impact the lives of those around him. Early in the series, Naruto befriended Konohamaru Sarutobi, the grandson of the Third Hokage, and it is through his brief tutelage that Konohamaru came to understand that the path to success is through hard work. Kakashi Hatake has described this as "Naruto's unique power", how he seems to change the worldview of everyone he meets. With this power, Naruto was able to redeem Zabuza Momochi and Neji Hyūga, and instill courage in Inari, Sakura Haruno, Hinata Hyūga, and Tsunade. He was also able to change Gaara from a ruthless killer to one of his closest friends, and even gain the trust of Nagato, the apparent leader of Akatsuki and one of the main antagonists of the series. Naruto believed that only he could save Sasuke Uchiha from darkness, ultimately succeeding.

personality

As mentioned above, Naruto is characterized by being hyperactive, tends to be exuberant, easily excitable, impulsive, and suffers from a short attention span. He is always surrounded by comical situations, and is bent on bringing a smile (or sometimes also anger) to whoever is in a critical situation, making jokes at the most inappropriate times. He is sometimes seen arguing and fighting with his clones, something silly in itself, as he would be arguing and hitting himself. This is supported by Asuma Sarutobi in the Twelve Guardian Ninja Saga, as he describes Naruto as the type of person who does not think before acting. While raw power is one of his strong points, Naruto has begun to learn that patience with focus is something he needs in order for him to become truly effective. According to Kakashi, Naruto is someone who learns through his body. Naruto is relatively naive, being slow to grasp the principles of a jutsu and often requiring a dumbing down of an already simplified analogy in order to understand what is being explained to him. This assumes he is able to hold his attention long enough, as he will usually seek to change the subject in the wake of his ignorance, insisting that he has already grasped the concept being explained to him. Though he maintains that self-confidence by loudly proclaiming that he will master whatever technique he is learning in a certain fraction of the time, Naruto will not hesitate to ask for help if he needs it.

personality

As an extension of his naivety and nobility, Naruto has a number of childlike traits. His pajamas always include a comical black cup with eyes and teeth, and he keeps his money in a frog-shaped coin purse that he affectionately calls "Gama-chan". He is also very hot-headed and rarely pays attention to formality or social status. He eats almost exclusively ramen, and is a regular at the Ichiraku Ramen bar; his hobby is even eating different types of ramen and sorting them. He has only refused ramen on one occasion: when he was stricken with grief over Jiraiya's death. He has a natural affinity for perverted jutsu, something that tends to be reprimanded by Sakura as well as Iruka, and which he only brought to new levels after meeting Jiraiya. He also almost always smiles, as during his childhood, it was to hide the sadness of his lonely life. Those closest to him are able to recognize when his smile is not genuine. Naruto also inherited his catchphrase “Dattebayo!” (だってばよ!) from his mother, Kushina Uzumaki, who is called “(bis)ttebane” (“(だ)ってばね”) when excited or frustrated.

However, when the situation calls for it or when a loved one is in trouble, Naruto immediately comes to their aid. This is most commonly seen in the series through his interactions with his teammates, Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno. With Sasuke, Naruto views him as a brother, as throughout Part II he strives to bring him back to Konohagakure, despite his defection at the village's will. With Sakura, Naruto has long had a crush on her, and will go to great lengths to make her happy, even if it comes at the cost of his own happiness. Sai has indicated that this dedication has progressed to the point of love. Sai also notes that the strain of making Sakura happy and bringing Sasuke home are the source of Naruto's inner pain. After the loss of his mentor Jiraiya, speaking with his own father, and talking with Jiraiya's murderer and former student Nagato, Naruto came to understand the negative side of revenge, and wanted to save Sasuke from it even more. Naruto also tried to stop the Raikage from exacting his revenge against Sasuke, because this would create a cycle of hatred. Apparently, Naruto was becoming more and more desperate in his quest to save Sasuke, as he was willing to kneel before the Raikage and beg for forgiveness for Sasuke's crimes and even take physical abuse over the sell out. Furthermore, after learning from Madara Uchiha the reason for Sasuke's hatred, Naruto decided and proclaimed to Sakura, who was trying to get him to give up his quest, that he truly understood Sasuke now and wanted to save him not only for the promise he made to Sakura, but also for himself. However, after realizing that the rest of his classmates are out to kill Sasuke, and that no one in the village would ever accept him again, Naruto apparently suffered from hyperventilation due to the extreme conflict he has been presented with.

At last reunited with Sasuke, Naruto sympathized with the criminal in his actions, and refused to back down or kill him, instead finding a third solution. Naruto came to the conclusion that the two were indeed destined to fight, as Madara had predicted, and that when this happens, both Naruto and Sasuke would die. Naruto is fully willing to take on Sasuke's burden, as a friend. In a way, Naruto is the only one who has not given up hope on Sasuke. However, Naruto does not give up on bringing Sasuke back as a citizen of the village, but believing that words would no longer have any effect on allowing them to understand each other, he must fight.

personality

Naruto has shown that he loves his parents deeply. When he first met his father, despite being angry at Minato for sealing the Nine-Tails inside of him, Naruto soon got over his anger and was very happy and proud to be the Fourth Hokage's son. He also tearfully hugged his mother Kushina when he met her. After learning how his parents met and what happened during the Nine-Tails' attack on Konohagakure, Naruto told his mother that he could finally understand what a parent's love was like and also said that he did not blame Minato for what he did, he was actually glad to be her son. When the Fourth Raikage was criticizing Minato for being the so-called "Boy of the Prophecy" who died at the hands of the Nine-Tails, Naruto after remembering what Kushina had told him about what his father did, told the Raikage that the Fourth Hokage had not failed at all. According to Killer B, Naruto's and his true strength comes from a special place that is represented as suns (they are the things we don't want to lose and we cling to them), but in Naruto's case they are two suns which are his parents, even though they died after he was born, Naruto said that before they died they left him many things including the job of being the Savior.

personality

Unlike most others, Naruto has shown great care when it comes to the Tailed Beasts and those in his care. Having seen the dynamic relationship between the Bee and the Eight-Tails, he has confessed to Son Goku that he is even jealous of them and wishes to have an equal relationship with Kurama. His words, which sometimes, surprised the tailed beasts who are used to being mistreated and locked away, regardless of the intentions of the people. Recently, the relationship between Naruto and the Nine-Tails has changed, while the beast seems to have opened up more to Naruto, while still insisting that he is the lesser of two evils, and Naruto has stated that he recognizes the beast not as a monster but as a companion. And so much is his commitment to helping the beasts that even all the tailed beasts and their jinchūriki entrusted their dreams and hopes to him, coming to the conclusion that he is the right path of whom the Sage of the Six Paths spoke. Since the start of the Fourth Great Shinobi World War, and by extension, the Invasion of Pain, Naruto had frequently thought that it was his "duty" and "burden" to stop Pain and Hatred, and that he must shoulder it alone. However, Itachi Uchiha pointed out to Naruto that this line of thinking, coupled with his growing power, would only make him arrogant. He even went so far as to suggest that Naruto might one day become like Madara should he forget about his friends.

Naruto has been kissed or kissed on the lips ten times, (Naruto accidentally kissed Sasuke 2 times, the first at the beginning of the series, the second in a filler arc; Isaribi gave him mouth-to-mouth resuscitation just like Sakura; Fūka kissed him 3 times to try and obtain his soul; Ryūzetsu for saving his life in Naruto Shippūden 5: Blood Prison; and finally his last two kisses were with Hinata Hyūga, at the end of the movie The Last: Naruto the Movie, one at the end of the movie and the other in the credits).
