Toji's character is cold, appearing calm and confident, he has a small scar on the corner of his right lip. Toji had a pet curse, known as the Things-Storing Curse in which he stored all of his cursed weapons and tools. In order to avoid being discovered by the cursed energy emitted by the curse, he kept it hidden within his body and in this way, the energy of it vanished, and thus he managed to remain invisible to the senses of other shamans. He was the possessor of superhuman physical strength that allowed him to defeat special class sorcerers and high-grade curses. His incredible dexterity allowed him to excel during hand-to-hand combat and knock down his opponents without much effort. Because he used to stand out for his brute strength, the power of his attacks could kill his opponent with a single blow and if he used some kind of weapon, these could be capable of completely piercing the body of others. Toji had a bad habit of betting money on horse races despite always losing. Since he did not always explain his plans, he usually gave the image of a disinterested person, however he has proven to be an excellent planner, both outside of combat and in battle itself. In combat he was a brutal warrior who savagely attacked his enemies with a wide smile on his face. He always felt a deep hatred for the Zenin Clan and the great heads of the Jujutsu world. He did not value himself, nor did he value others. When he agreed to kill Riko Amanai he wanted to be able to prove to himself that he could fight against some of the strongest sorcerers, without the need for cursed energy. His relationship with his son is complicated
