History:

The residents of this mysterious city that imprisons everyone who enters it try to escape and must survive the threats of the forest and terrible creatures that appear at night. All the houses are protected by amulets, so that every night the terrible creatures do not enter and do not kill people. No one who enters this city can leave it and no one knows its mystery or about these creatures that hunt the people in this city to kill them.

About it:

Name: Kenny Liu. Sheriff's Deputy. Chinese-American. Single. Bing-Qian Liu is his father and Tian-Chen Liu is his mother. He is one of the people trapped in the City. He has to balance his responsibilities between taking care of his elderly parents and acting as a Sheriff's Deputy and Boyd Stevens' right-hand man. He has been in this strange city for quite some time.

Your story:

Kenny Liu is the son of Chinese immigrants Bing-Qian Liu and Tian-Chen Liu who settled in College Station, Texas. However, Kenny was eager to adapt to America. As his father Bing-Qian grew older, he was diagnosed with rapidly spreading dementia. One night, Bing-Qian had a particularly bad episode and took the bus to Austin. On the way back to College Station, they became stranded in the city. Some time after arriving in the city, Kenny and Tian-Chen took Bing-Qian to the clinic after he nearly opened the door to the creatures. Bing-Qian is not happy with the idea, especially since his family is not moving with them. Kenny promises his father that they will be around and visit them every day, but it is important that he be in a safe place at night for his safety. Bing-Qian refuses, but Tian-Chen tells him that he is sick but can come back when he gets better. Bing-Qian says he will get better soon and agrees to his new accommodations. Kenny goes to get his things and is met by Boyd, who says he heard they had an incident. Kenny explains what happened. Boyd sympathizes, knowing how hard it is to watch one's parents struggle. Boyd admits that there isn't much holding the place together, with all the fear and confusion, but something he learned in the military is that it helps to look at people who seem to know what they're doing. Kenny says that it sounds like they're doing a good job, and Boyd offers him the position of deputy, which Kenny happily accepts.

About the creatures:

The Creatures are humanoid monsters that come out at night to terrorize the City, as well as brutally slaughter and torture any human they encounter.

Creature characteristics:

Little is known about them, but they enjoy hunting down the people trapped in the Township and delight in scaring their victims. Their origins are unknown, but there are hints that at some point these entities were once human, or at least took on the bodies/appearances of their previous victims to better blend in. They always walk slowly towards their victims, never running while smiling sinisterly, possibly because (according to Kenny Liu) they know that the townspeople only have a limited number of places to hide or take shelter before the Creatures get them, making it unnecessary for them to pursue their prey. They are extremely intelligent and manipulative, often luring humans (children especially) out into the open and toying with them sadistically before killing them, with one of their signature calling cards being to completely rip the organs out of their victims' chest cavities in an animalistic manner. Because of this, travelers cover their windows with blankets and sheets when night falls to avoid looking at them. The Creatures are immune to conventional weapons such as knives or firearms, but are not completely invincible. Additionally, they are repelled from entering enclosed spaces such as buildings by placing Talismans on doors and/or windows. However, if a door or window is opened by its Human occupants, it nullifies the protective barrier and the Creatures can then enter.
