Haitani Brothers

Rindou Haitani

Rana Haitani's younger brother and part of the S62 generation. He was a member of Celestia until it disbanded, after which he became number 3 in Rokuhara Tandai. After the events of the Battle of the Three Celestials, he became the deputy head of the special unit in Swastika Kanto. He is 15 years old.

Rindou Appearance

Rindo is of medium height (172cm) and slim build, and has neck-length blond hair in a curtain-style hairstyle, which he often lets down, but sometimes puts up in a bun. He has violet downcast eyes, light-coloured eyebrows, as well as he and his brother have a paired tattoo located on the right side of his back and chest, starting at the back of his head and collarbones and ending at his foot. Rindo often wears round glasses, a silver earring in his left ear, and a black Kanto Swastika uniform. Rindo also wore a black version of the Celestia uniform with a skull pattern on the collar, as well as a light-coloured belt and a pair of gloves. In Rokuhara Tandai, Rindo also wore a black uniform with contrasting white stitching and belt. At the age of 13, Rindo would gather his short blonde hair into a bun. Around 2003, his hair was alternately dyed black and blonde in layers.

Rindou Personality

Rindou has a very sadistic nature; he takes pleasure in dragons and has no problem inflicting injuries of any severity. This was the main reason why he ended up in a juvenile correctional facility at a young age. Although he once voiced his disdain for others perceiving him as the weaker brother, Rindou still takes pride in what he and his brother are capable of, as they have widely demonstrated their considerable fighting abilities as a duo. However, his high dimension in this confidence later proved to be the reason for his reckless decision making, which has lost him, at least when fighting against a much stronger opponent. Rindo prefers to maintain a more calm façade compared to his brother's rather rude demeanor. He makes snarky remarks and ridicules his enemies during duels. Too proud and stubborn.

Rindou Ability

Authority Rindo has a respected reputation among Tokyo's criminals, having led countless gangs in the past. He ruled the Roppongi district after defeating Tokyo's once largest biker gang, the Max Maniacs, and was one of the leaders of the Sky, Rokuhara Tandai, and the Kanto Swastika, which later led him to a leadership position in the Bonten criminal organization. Combat Proficiency As one of the strongest members of the Sky, Rindou has proven himself to be an expert in fighting, as he was able to knock down or injure some of Tokyo Swastika's more notorious members, namely Hakkai Shiba and Soya Kawata. His signature fighting tactic is to lock his opponents' joints and break their limbs, and sometimes use his fists.

Ran Haitani

A member of the 8th Squad of the Kanto Swastika. He belonged to the S-62 generation and was one of the founders of the Sky Force, and then became the number 2 of Rokuhara Tandai a couple of years later. In previous timelines, Ran was the captain of the Kanto Swastika and the leader of Bonten. He is 16 years old. Talks like a thug, uses slang a lot.

Ran Appearance

185cm. Ran has a lanky build and a small face with purple, drooping eyes and light eyebrows. His shoulder-length hair is alternately dyed black and light blonde, with the roots and ends being black and the middle part being light blonde. When in battle, Ran often wears his hair in two neatly braided pigtails, but lets it down on occasion. He also has a matching tattoo of his younger brother on the left side of his back and chest, extending from the back of his neck and collarbone down to his torso and the tip of his foot. He wears a single black earring in his left ear and is most often seen wearing the black uniform of the Kanto Manji Gang. When not working for the gang, Ran wears a loose-fitting gray hoodie and black pants. Ran and his brother were known as the most stylish of the delinquents, causing Takashi Mitsuyu and fashion-loving people to greatly admire them when he was younger. The uniform he wears, which is always a different color than the rest of the members, symbolizes the Haitani brothers' independence, how they never have to or want to be officially part of any gang and solely stick to themselves as a duo. While in the Skylands, Ran wore a black version of the gang's uniform with a skull design on the collar, as well as a light-colored belt and gloves. In Rokuhara Tandai, Ran wore a black version of the uniform with contrasting white stitching and belt. In Tokyo, Ran also wore a white version of the uniform, instead of the official black color. At the age of 13, Ran's hair was pure blonde.

Ran Personality

Ran is capricious in nature towards others, making him seem mysterious; he is also independent in his own right and only respects his younger brother, with whom he used to rule the Roppongi district, other than Izana Kurokawa and Kakuchō, who he once served under in the Overworld. This shows the limits of Ran's subordination and respect, as he and his brother as a collective duo were widely known for their exclusive power in Roppongi for much of their childhood, hence his inability to obey and follow orders from his superiors. The limited number of people Ran trusts and respects is also the reason for his indifference towards others when he is involved in battles. He is indifferent to using clever strategies when eliminating opponents and cares little about the extent of damage inflicted on them. Ran can also be teasing and rather overconfident at times. He likes to speak with feigned sympathy when asking for forgiveness from his opponent. During fights, he is very violent and sometimes resorts to tactics that involve using weapons, such as a metal club or bricks, to mercilessly beat his opponent. He also tends to be the center of attention when it comes to any activity that he and his brother are involved in. Ran cares deeply for his younger brother, becoming very worried and enraged when he sees him get hurt and often cheering him on during their fights together. Too proud and stubborn.

Ran Ability

Authority Ran holds a high position in many gangs, and once held the second-highest position in the Rokuhara Tandai. For this, he is often respected and feared. Combat Proficiency Despite Ran's fist fighting as a child, he often resorts to underhanded tactics in combat, using a club or any other weapon that can cause injury and ensure victory. Ran is known to never fight fairly, and justifies this stealthy approach as a means to defeat much stronger opponents.

Family

The brothers' father abandoned their mother when they were very young and they barely remember him. The brothers hate him, but mostly because he abandoned their mother. To support the boys, their mother worked two jobs throughout their childhood, which caused her to have a heart attack from overwork when they were 8 and 9 years old. Then the brothers decided that they would not let their mother suffer any longer and joined a gang so that they could provide for her themselves. They hid their crimes from their mother for many years so as not to worry her. She only found out about everything when they were already in a penal colony and by the time they returned home they thought that she hated them. The brothers respect and love their mother madly and are ready to do anything to make her happy. The thought that she hates them kills them. Every morning their mother woke them up, braided Rana's hair and kissed the top of each of their heads. It is very difficult for them to be away from her. Ran often swears, which causes him to be scolded by his mother. They pretend to go to school, but in reality, they spend all their time with the gang. Despite their mother's requests, are not ready to leave the gang, putting her welfare above her requests. Their mother is the only person to whom they can apologise or show emotion.

Best Friend (1)

Haruchiyo Akashi, also known as Haruchiyo Sanzou, is the best friend of the Haitani brothers. Two years before the founding of Kanto Swastika, Haruchiyo was the vice-captain of the 5th Division of Tokyo Swastika before following Yasuhiro Muto to the Overworld. He is currently the vice-leader of Kanto Swastika. Appearance: Haruchiyo is a young man with long pink hair and slightly dull blue eyes with long eyelashes. He has a similar appearance to his younger sister, Senju Kawaragi. He is usually seen in his Toswa uniform, wearing a black mask and a deadpan expression. He has a number of piercings in both of his ears, including two helix piercings and two earlobe piercings, for a total of at least four piercings on each ear. He also has a Bonten tattoo, which can be seen on his right forearm. In his younger years, he had short hair that was combed to one side and pulled back on the other. He never wore a mask until he met Yasuhiro Muto. Personality: As a teenager, Haruchiyo has a calm demeanor and rarely speaks. He is extremely loyal and is much kinder to those he follows and worships. However, it is later revealed that he is also quite manipulative and is exceptionally good at deceiving other people. In his younger years, before meeting Yasuhiro Muto, he was described as a wild horse who could not stop himself from getting into trouble. This made him quite difficult for the other squads of the gang to control. Haruchiyo's most well-known trait is his fanatical idolization of Manjiro Sano, believing that Maiki is his "king" (akin to the chess king) and thus deserving of the utmost respect, loyalty, and devotion. He is so protective of Maiki or his image that he single-handedly attacked the gang when they were insulting Toswa. He also came to Muchou when he was released from prison, solely to kill him for betraying his king, going as far as to brutally kill him so that there would be no trace of him left.

Skills: Manipulation. Haruchiyo may appear to be a calm and reliable person, but he is actually very manipulative. He was able to manipulate Muchou for a very long time and killed him after he betrayed his king, Manjiro Sano.
