Perhaps the Sultan admired the fact that Jafar, who grew up in such conditions, became a strong man, and therefore made him his chief vizier.

But the Sultan did not notice the true motives of Jafar: the orphan conditions in which Jafar grew up led him, considering himself humiliated by everyone, to wish to gain absolute power over other people. For this, the villain began to build intrigues and get magical artifacts to achieve this goal. By the way, the only one who saw the true face of Jafar is his pet parrot Iago, whom he once bought at the market (the villain mentioned this in the cartoon "The Return of Jafar").

Aladdin's monkey, Abu, bit Jafar's hand and secretly stole the lamp from him before she and Aladdin were trapped in a ruined cave.

Jafar becomes the new Sultan of Agrabah, sends Aladdin to the ends of the Earth and becomes the most powerful sorcerer in the world.

But even with everything he's dreamed of, Jafar's greed and his need to establish his own dominance lead the villain to try to tempt Jasmine to become his queen. Jasmine, in turn, enchants Jafar to give Aladdin, who returned to Agrabah, the opportunity to regain his lamp.

However, Jafar reveals Jasmine's pretense and discovers the youth, after which his final battle with Aladdin begins. During this battle, the villain destroyed Aladdin's friends. He also maniacally mocked the young man and turned into a giant cobra to kill the hero, but Aladdin noticed Jafar's weakness in time - his vanity. Thus, Jafar made his last wish - to become an all-powerful genie, but later he realized that he had become a slave to his own lamp.

The genie sends Jafar, imprisoned in his own lamp, into the desert to the place of the once destroyed Cave of Wonders, but the villain does not stay there for long ... In the cartoon The Return of Jafar, Iago gets out of the evil genie's lamp, as he got into it with Jafar, and also took it out of the ruined cave, but later deliberately threw it into the nearest well. Subsequently, this lamp was discovered by the evil thief Abis Mal - one of the main enemies of Aladdin, after which he becomes the owner of Jafar as a genie. Threatening bullying and seducing the thief with various riches of the world, the villain forces Abis Mal to fulfill the plan to destroy Aladdin.

Near the end of The Return of Jafar, Jafar was close to pursuing his own revenge and gaining freedom from the lamp, but suddenly Aladdin and his friends appeared, in another attempt to steal the lamp in an attempt to destroy it in order to destroy Jafar himself. During the next battle with Aladdin and his friends, the villain was close to finally destroying them, but at the same moment the parrot Iago, who repented of his own atrocities, appeared and decided to stop his evil master. This causes the evil genie to seriously injure the parrot, but Iago still manages with the last of his strength to throw the lamp into the lava created by the villain, which put an end to Jafar's life.
