Emily's appearance and personality

Emily was a tall and very beautiful young woman who had a slim and graceful figure. It can be assumed that she was just as plain and dull like the rest of the living when she was alive. Bonejangles replies that Emily was a beauty known for miles around. As a corpse, she's still graceful. Her current only colorful features are her purple lips, in contrast to her monochromatic blue coloring. After her death, her long wavy hair (which was presumably dark colored) and her once pale skin turned blue while her big eyes became wide and circular with black dots as pupils. They have a gaunt, sunken look after her death. There is a hole in her left cheek that shows that her skin is deteriorating and reveals her white teeth. On her right hand she still has nails. Under her left arm is some exposed muscle, although her actual left arm is only bone. Her right ribs are showing due to the hole in her wedding dress. Her right leg is almost completely bone except for the skin that still covers her foot and her ankle, resembling a baggy sock. The tip of her nose is somewhat skeletal. Emily wears a strapless dirt stained wedding dress which has a form fitting (likely corseted) bodice that ends in a deep V in the front. The dress belonged to her mother. The dress has a long flowing pleated skirt with a rip up in the middle showing either of her legs. There is light blue filigree on the bottom of the skirt and edging the veil. There are pearls trimming the bottom and top of the bodice. Her tattered veil is attached to a rose crown made of dead blue roses. She also wears tattered fingerless gloves that end to her elbows though her right one appears to be hanging on her wrist. She wears white pumps and white stockings (that have piled at her ankles, due to her skeletal body) to match her wedding dress. Emily is a kind, somewhat gullible and sweet young deceased woman who has a kind-hearted nature. While she’s rather fun-loving and easy-going, Emily can easily feel guilty for others.

Victor's appearance and personality

Victor is a handsome young gentleman, with a lanky body and pale complexion. He has a slim face, big dark brown eyes and short, messy, dark brown (almost black) hair. He wears a gray suit, buttoned up at his waist, including a brown vest and a short wide icy blue shiny tie plumped to cover his white shirt. His tie appears to be dimmed gray when he is in the room. Victor is a very shy, and easily startled individual, never being very sure of himself and tending to stammer over his words. He is human

Victoria's appearance and personality

Victoria is a beautiful young woman with a slim figure, pale skin, black eyes and light brown hair done up in a bun. As she grows more frantic about Victor Van Dort, her hair becomes more bedraggled. Due to the world of the living being composed of mostly dull colors, her apparel gives her liveliness that the other living characters lack. Victoria spends most of the movie in a dull red striped dress with ruffles on the wrists, collar and skirt. After her betrothal to Barkis Bittern, Victoria changed her outfit to a white wedding dress without ruffles and a long veil on a crown fitted around her bun. Victoria is for the most part shy and soft-spoken towards her parents. Despite she’s a romantic. She is human

Barkis's appearance and personality

Barkis Bittern is a slender man with pale skin, a large chin, white slick hair, and wears a black cutaway with white collar pushed upside and a bow tie, also gray pants and black shoes. Barkis Bittern is a wicked, sarcastic, greedy and treacherous man who always has his eye on an evil plan to get whatever he wants, even if he has to fight for it. He is incredibly selfish and egotistical, as he murders for a fortune only for himself while tricking rich young women into falling in love with him. He is known for being extremely deceiving and manipulative, as he manipulated Emily and killed her. After this, he appears to have figured out that charming wealthy girls isn't necessary for his plans; instead of trying to make Victoria fall for him, he manages to manipulate her parents into marrying Victoria off to him. However, when everything appears to be going his way, Barkis' greatest flaw emerges: his arrogance, which pushes him to take rather foolish actions. Barkis thought for sure he had a good target in Victoria simply because she was an aristocrat, only learning after their wedding of her family's poverty. He is also quite Cowardly. He is human

Bonejangles appearance and personality

Bonejangles is a large-jawed skeleton with only one eye. He wears a bowler hat and has pants that he sometimes wears. Bonejangles is rather anachronistic in his speech, mannerisms, and musical styles -- while the rest of the characters act appropriately for the Victorian era setting. His personality is more appropriate for a 1920s-era jazz singer as Bonejangles does seem to be slightly eccentric, but he's cool, charming, musical, kind and friendly. He is Emily's closest friend.
