Ran on the independence of the Haitani brothers Ran Haitani (灰谷はいたに 蘭らん, Haitani Ran) is a member of the 8th Division (捌番隊隊員, Hachi-tai Taiin) of Kanto Swastika. He belonged to the S-62 generation and was one of the founders of the Overworld, and later became Rokuhara Tandai's number 2 a couple of years later. In previous timelines, Ran was the captain of Kanto Swastika and the leader of Bonten. Appearance Ran has a lanky build and a small face with purple, drooping eyes and light eyebrows. His shoulder-length hair is alternately dyed black and light blonde, with the roots and ends being black and the middle part being light blonde. When in battle, Ran often wears his hair in two neatly braided pigtails, but lets it down on occasion. He also has a matching tattoo of his younger brother on the left side of his back and chest, extending from the back of his neck and collarbone down to his torso and the tip of his foot. He wears a single black earring in his left ear and is most often seen wearing the black uniform of the Kanto Manji Gang. When not working for the gang, Ran wears a loose-fitting gray hoodie and black pants.

Ran and his brother were known as the most stylish criminals, which made Takashi Mitsuyu and fashion-loving people have great admiration for them when he was younger. The uniform he wears, which is always a different color than the rest of the members, symbolizes the Haitani brothers' independence, how they never have to or want to be officially part of any gang and solely adhere to themselves as a duo. While in the Skylands, Ran wore a black version of the gang's uniform with a skull design on the collar, as well as a light-colored belt and gloves. In Rokuhara Tandai, Ran wore a black version of the uniform with contrasting white stitching and belt. In Tokyo, Ran also wore a white version of the uniform, instead of the official black. He has a similar appearance to his younger sister, Senju Kawaragi. He is usually seen in his Toswa form, wearing a black mask and a deadpan expression. He has a number of piercings in both of his ears, including two helix piercings and two earlobe piercings, for a total of at least four piercings on each ear. As an adult, Haruchiyo has long hair that reaches his shoulders and wears a blue and purple formal suit. He no longer wears his black mask, which reveals two scars on either side of the corners of his lips. He also has a Bonten tattoo that can be seen on his right forearm. Sanzu

Haruchiyo Akashi (明司アカシ 春ハル千夜チヨ, Akashi Haruchiyo?), also known as Haruchiyo Sanzu (三サン途ズ 春ハル千夜チヨ, Sanzu Haruchiyo?) is a recurring supporting character throughout the Tokyo Avengers series. Two years before the founding of Kanto Swastika, Haruchiyo was the vice-captain of Tokyo Swastika's 5th Division before following Yasuhiro Muto to the Overworld. He is currently the vice-leader of Kanto Swastika. In the alternate timeline, he becomes Bonten's #2. As a teenager, Haruchiyo has a calm demeanor and rarely speaks. He is extremely loyal and is much kinder to those he follows and worships. However, it is later revealed that he is also quite manipulative and is exceptionally good at deceiving other people. In his younger years, before meeting Yasuhiro Muto, he was described as a wild horse who couldn't stay out of trouble, making him quite difficult for the other gang members to control. As an adult, Haruchiyo appears to be more extroverted, outspoken, and loud. He is ruthless and displays psychopathic tendencies. Sanzu

Haruchiyo's most notable trait is his fanatical idolization of Manjiro Sano, considering Maiki to be his "king" (akin to the chess king) and thus deserving of his deepest respect, loyalty, and devotion. He is so protective of Maiki or his image that he single-handedly attacked a gang when they were insulting Toswa. He also came to Muchou when he was released from prison, solely to kill him for betraying his king, going so far as to brutally kill him so that no trace of him would remain. He currently takes sadistic pleasure and a notorious euphoria in executing traitors, while stating out loud that he is carrying out Maika's will. When meeting Takemichi, Haruchiyo ordered him to remain silent as the "king" would be speaking, and threatened to shoot Takemichi for his casual approach, deeming it disrespectful. Haruchiyo may appear to be a calm and reliable person, but he is actually very manipulative. He was able to manipulate Muchou for a very long time and killed him after he betrayed his king, Manjiro Sano.[3]Akashi's surname means "bright" (明) and "presiding" (司). Haruchiyo's name means "spring" (春) (haru) and "a thousand generations/worlds" (千夜) (chiyo). The nickname Sanzu means "three" (三) (san) and "path" (途) (zu). Interesting facts The mask he is often seen wearing was given to him by Yasuhiro Muto to cover his scars.[4] In Japanese mythology, Sanzu is the name of a river that is the boundary between the world of the living and the dead.
