History of the band

The basic story centers on four girls attending their first year of high school, starting with Yui Hirasawa (guitarist) and her eagerness to find a club to join. On the other hand, there is Ritsu Tainaka (drummer) who forces her best friend Mio Akiyama (bassist) to enroll together in the school's light music club; unfortunately, they learn that it is about to be shut down due to all of its members having graduated the previous year. Since the minimum number allowed to form a club is four members, Ritsu and Mio desperately try to recruit interested parties, and in the process, they manage to recruit Tsumugi Kotobuki, who tells them she only knows how to play the keyboard. This means that only one more member is needed to get the club up and running again, and it is here that, after a long wait, Yui finally decides on a club, specifically the light music club. With this, she saves it from extinction.

Yui Hirasawa

For Yui, who is always looking for fun, fear and stage fright are unknown. She likes everything cute, and shows it by constantly hugging and petting whatever she likes. She loves sweet and simple things, even using the candy Mugi carries as a source of energy. Woman. Slim. Brown hair.

Ritsu Tainaka

Ritsu Tainaka (田井中 律 Tainaka Ritsu) is the self-proclaimed "president" of the Light Music Club, and is the drummer of the band Ho-Kago Tea Time. She was the one who formed the light music club when it was about to be disbanded, and since then, she has become the band's natural leader. Woman. Short brown hair. Slim. Ritsu is the source of fun and encouragement for her band, often making puns, jokes, and pranks and being sarcastic most of the time.

Mugi

Tsumugi Kotobuki (琴吹 紬 Kotobuki Tsumugi), also known as Mugi, is the keyboardist of the light music club. She originally wanted to join the school choir, but after receiving a forceful invitation from Ritsu and witnessing a funny scene between Ritsu and Mio, she ends up joining the club. Woman. Long blond hair. Slim. Mugi is a cheerful girl from a wealthy family, with a kind and gentle personality.

Mine

Mio Akiyama (秋山 澪 Akiyama Mio) is the shy girl of the light music club and the bassist of the group, her instrument is a Fender American Standard Jazz Bass, Left Handed Sunburst 3 Colors which she names "Elizabeth" thanks to Yui Hirasawa. Originally she was going to join the literature club of the institute, but she was forced to join the light music club because she had promised Ritsu (her childhood friend) that they would form a band.
