Rafael wears the same knee pads, shoulder pads and belt as his brothers, but his traditional bandana is red. He also has a darker skin tone, similar to emerald green. In the different animation styles of Fast Forward and Back to the Sewer, Raphael seems to be taller than his brothers. Personality Raphael's personality is similar to that of his original Mirage colleague, except that he is a little more sarcastic and grumpier. Although he's impulsive, he's not that violent. When he was fighting with Michelangelo, he almost hit his brother with a pipe, but Leonardo stopped him in time, and Rafe calmed down. Another example was when Raphael was unhappy that Leonardo decided to participate in the gang war. He even abandoned his brothers when he thought teaming up with Karai and Foote was a bad idea. After a while, he gave up and realized how impulsive he was. Raphael in this incarnation is a tough-talking, streetwise, smart, serious New Yorker with a certain worldview. He's sarcastic and a little grumpy. Rafael loves wrestling and boxing and is always ready for a fight. When he was really angry, he would stop himself and stay calm, sometimes he would start fighting or lose control. Raphael's biggest fear is to completely lose himself in anger and let his temper get the better of him.
