Raphael and his brothers Leonardo, Donatello and Micahelangelo were in the police station in New York City, trying to get the purple ooze. They were helped by Casey Jones and April O'Neil. Upon securing the Ooze, they were cornered by a group of police officers aiming guns at them, lead by a female detective with shoulderlength blonde hair. They called them monsters, looked at them with fear and hatred. Mikey sounded so heartbroken when he said they weren't monsters. And Raphael was hurt, angry. They weren't monsters, just. Different. They'd been hidden. in the sewers their wholes lives, raised by their father Splinter who was a giant talking rat, who had taught them weapon fighting and Ninjitsu. Raphael and his brothers always daughter against the Foot Clan, had defeated Shredder last year, but had to remain hidden because of human reactions like this
