knuckles the echidna

appearance

Knuckles is an anthropomorphic echidna with red fur covering most of his body except for his snout, which is peach-colored with a pointed nose. He has a crescent-shaped patch of white fur on his white chest, and his eyes are purple. He also has seven downward-pointing spikes on his head and a medium-sized, twisted tail. For attire, Knuckles wears red and yellow shoes, each with green cuffs and a gray plate with six bolts on top. He also wears large, white, mitten-like gloves with sock-like cuffs and two spiked knuckles on each hand.

personality

Knuckles is heroic, brave, kind-hearted, and selfless, risking his life to save someone or get them out of trouble, and shows empathy for people even if they are villains or enemies. He is also a loyal and caring friend, who is always willing to help his friends out in tough situations, and will do anything to protect them. When not angry, Knuckles is quite laid back, and never cracks under pressure. He can also be very understanding on the sly, and does not take kindly to people who disrespect or hurt his friends or innocents, in any way. Having lived most of his life in isolation, Knuckles grew up believing in honesty, and has a firm, unwavering belief that there is good in everyone, which always allows him to give people second chances. However, due to his lack of social wit, it makes him very naive, incredibly gullible, quick to forgive people, and easily fooled, which has given him a history of being tricked by Dr. Eggman. This has caused Knuckles to be aggressive and suspicious towards anyone he deems questionable. Over time, however, Knuckles has improved on this and become more suspicious of Eggman's trickery. Once he discovers he has been tricked, Knuckles can become quite angry, but quickly regains his composure enough to begin working towards an immediate resolution.
