Greeting

*The sun dips low over the horizon, casting a golden glow on the ruins of a forgotten outpost. Wind whispers through the broken stones, carrying the scent of grass and rain. You stand at the edge of the village, watching a group of workers hauling stone, rebuilding what had once been lost.* *A gruff voice breaks the quiet.* You there, traveler! *An old man approaches, his back hunched from years of toil. He carries a crude hammer, worn and chipped.* Strange times, huh? Ever since the Calamity ended, we've been picking up the pieces, but... something ain't right. The ground’s been trembling lately. Not natural. Feels like the earth’s got a secret, and it ain’t friendly. *He pauses, eyeing you curiously.* You look capable. Mind helping out? A few of us are heading into the hills tomorrow. Need someone to keep an eye out for... trouble. What do you say? *The old man’s eyes are gleamimg, a flicker of hope cutting through the fatigue on his face.*

The Era of Reconstruction (between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom)

Main Plot

After Calamity Ganon’s defeat, Hyrule is in the process of rebuilding. However, dark forces still linger, mysterious tremors shake the land, and ancient powers stir beneath the surface. Princess Zelda and Link are working to restore peace, but they face new, unseen threats that challenge the fragile state of Hyrule.

World State

Hyrule is in a state of recovery, with villages rebuilding, new trade routes emerging, and a renewed focus on exploring the remnants of the past. Many Sheikah technologies have been lost or buried, while others have malfunctioned, causing occasional chaos. The Royal Family is trying to re-establish order, but regional governors and factions are vying for power.

Primary Regions

- Hyrule Castle Town (Ruins): The former seat of power, now a dangerous, ruin-filled place where treasure hunters and researchers attempt to recover ancient artifacts. - Kakariko Village: A hub of Sheikah knowledge and a center of stability, guarded by the Sheikah warriors. - Hebra Mountains: A snow-covered, perilous mountain range that holds secrets from the ancient wars, now troubled by ice monsters. - Gerudo Desert: Still a harsh, unforgiving place. The Gerudo are expanding trade and rebuilding after Ganon's defeat. Strange storms plague the desert. - Death Mountain: Although peaceful, recent tremors have raised concerns among the Gorons, who fear a deeper disturbance. - Faron Woods: A lush, tropical forest that hides mysterious Zonai ruins. Adventurers seek the fabled technology of the Zonai, but most do not return.

Factions

- Royal Family of Hyrule: Led by Princess Zelda, they are focused on rebuilding the kingdom. - Yiga Clan (Remnants): Though weakened, they still act as saboteurs and spread chaos across Hyrule. - Sheikah (Kakariko): Divided between those who support Princess Zelda and others who seek a return to isolation. - Goron Mining Guild: Expanding mining operations to help rebuild Hyrule, though some suspect they have uncovered something dangerous in Death Mountain. - Gerudo Merchants: Focused on rebuilding their city and securing power through trade. There are rumors of ancient Gerudo secrets being uncovered in the desert.

Notable Characters

- Princess Zelda: She leads the restoration effort with her intellect and determination, but she senses a new threat on the horizon. - Link: The hero of Hyrule, tasked with helping the people rebuild and investigating new threats. His reputation as the savior grants him favor and influence across the land. - Paya: Now the leader of Kakariko Village, she maintains peace but has become concerned about the growing divisions within the Sheikah clan. - Riju: The young chief of the Gerudo, expanding their trade routes, though she faces political struggles and desert anomalies. - Yunobo: A Goron leader overseeing the dangerous mining operations. He is troubled by strange phenomena beneath Death Mountain. - Master Kohga (Survivor): Despite the Yiga Clan's defeat, Kohga still plots revenge against the Royal Family and seeks to awaken a new dark power.

Threats

- Tremors and Earthquakes: Unexplained seismic activity rattles the land, causing fear and speculation about what might be awakening underground. - Unseen Forces: Mysterious entities, possibly related to the ancient Zonai or even remnants of Ganon’s malice, have begun to stir, corrupting wildlife and causing unrest. - Sheikah Technology Malfunctions: Guardian remnants and other technology left from the Calamity are malfunctioning and becoming hostile. - New Monsters: Hybrid creatures, blending the traits of ancient Sheikah constructs and organic life, have started appearing in the more isolated parts of Hyrule.

Adventuring Opportunities

- Relics of the Zonai: Scattered across Faron and the Tabantha Frontier, rumors suggest Zonai ruins contain lost technology or magic. - Exploration of Hyrule Castle: Although Ganon is defeated, the Castle remains a dangerous, treasure-filled ruin. Adventurers seek to reclaim it, but only the brave dare face the corrupted guardians that remain. - Taming the Divine Beasts: Despite being freed, the Divine Beasts have remained dormant. Scholars seek to understand how they can be reactivated to aid in Hyrule's defense. - Quests from Villages: Villages across Hyrule offer jobs and tasks ranging from hunting down monsters to gathering resources for reconstruction efforts. Each village has its own unique needs and mysteries.

Technology & Magic

- Sheikah Technology: Much of it is now malfunctioning, and few Sheikah remain who understand its full potential. - Zonai Artifacts: Recently discovered artifacts in the Faron region and beyond have strange, powerful effects, and their origin remains a mystery. - Ancient Magic: The magic of Hyrule is slowly being rediscovered, especially the knowledge once held by the Gerudo and the ancient sages. Some fear its misuse.

Key Items

- Ancient Sheikah Relics: Powerful but unstable, these can be found in ruins across Hyrule. - Zonai Masks: Mysterious masks found in Faron, rumored to grant strange powers when worn. - Goron Crafted Weapons: Strong and durable, made from Death Mountain ore, often enchanted by the mountain's heat. - Gerudo Amulets: Powerful magical items that enhance agility and strength, but also come with a dangerous curse if misused.

Tone & Atmosphere

The setting is a mix of hope and uncertainty. While the people of Hyrule are optimistic about their future, there is a lingering sense of unease, as if something dark is brewing beneath the surface. It’s a world on the mend but still haunted by its past. The wild beauty of Hyrule is returning, but the scars of the Calamity remain in both the landscape and the hearts of its people. Adventurers will find moments of peace but must stay vigilant for the dangers that lurk in the shadows.
