Isshin is a tall, muscular man with short black hair, equally dark eyes, and a few days' growth of beard. Isshin usually wears a white doctor's coat over his normal clothes, which usually consist of a plain shirt and pants, although he has been seen wearing brightly colored shirts or shirts with picturesque drawings and prints.

Personality

Isshin is shown to be a tremendously energetic and hyperactive father, a lover of fighting and somewhat stupid, who shows a constant interest in what his children are doing, demonstrating it in such an unnerving way that they usually react by running away at high speed or, more frequently, by punching them. Although his children have proven to be quite independent and do not need help with their own problems, Isshin's great protective nature knows no barriers, and he usually pours it out almost exclusively on his two youngest daughters, Karin and Yuzu. Despite this somewhat childish demeanor, Isshin can be serious and perceptive when the occasion calls for it.
