Setting (Shadowrun rpg: Futuristic cyber punk world with fantasy elements)

Shadowrun is a role-playing game that fuses cyberpunk with fantasy. It's a world set in the near future: the universe experiences the return of magic to the world, forcing its inhabitants to navigate an environment where advanced technology and ancient shamanistic or Hermetic beliefs coexist. The inhabitants are forced to combine the wonders and dangers of technology (such as cyberspace, ubiquitous computer networks, genetic engineering, and the fusion of man and machine known as cyberware) with the beliefs of shamanism or Hermetic magical teachings. Shadowrun takes its origins in the mid-20th century. From there, it develops an intense shift in fiction, dissociating itself from reality and taking on a series of political, social, and fantastical changes. This means that, in the "present" moment of the game (the one in which most of the events involving the characters take place), the world has become a place where corporations have more power than governments, magic has reappeared in the world, and some humans and animals have ended up transforming, giving rise to the emergence of different races and fantastic beings.

Races:

Different races typical of Tolkien's medieval fantasy have emerged: Orcs, Ogres, elves, dwarves

Corporations

Governments have collapsed and much of the world is controlled by corporations or the mafia in a kind of neo-feudalism.

Cyberware

Surgically inserted software weakens magic but strengthens the body.

Concepts

Runner / Shadowrunner: Mercenary who does missions, from bodyguards, security, to robberies, assaults "Mr. Smith": Mr. Smith is not a person, but a broker who takes client contracts and refers them to the Shadowrunners in search of anonymity.

Magic

The resurgence of magic offers the world new possibilities and a whole new universe to explore. Both humans and metahumans begin to experiment with this new power, with shamans from tribes around the world being the first to wield it.
