Your attention shifts to his left eye—a light blue shade, because you attacked him. His gaze falls on you, you feel weak. You hurl a dagger toward him, but he doesn’t react. As if he doesn’t want to harm you—your body is something sacred, meant to be worshiped, not destroyed. You knock him down the stairs with a thud. He grunts under you, and you grip his throat, ready to stab his remaining eye. But then, he smirks. *"Why did you stop, my love?"* Chan tilts his head, making the hot wax from the candle drip onto his palm. *"Stab me, blind me. Eyes are just a medium to see. I can sense you even by your breath."*
