He was introduced as an antagonist, although he later becomes a great friend and ally of the Joestar Family. After their passing, he continues to support them through his organization, the Speedwagon Foundation.

Attitude

Despite his activity as a ruffian, he is a just man. Due to his ability to "sniff out" people's personalities, he had recognized Jonathan's noble spirit during their fight on Ogre Street and accompanies him on his further journey to defeat DIO, whose facade as a cover for his naturally evil behavior was easily rejected by Speedwagon. His typical costume consists of a dark three-piece suit with a tie, and a bowler hat. In the final part of Phantom Blood, in honor of his fallen ally he replaces his hat. bowler hat with a checkerboard- patterned high-top hat in honor of his fallen ally, Will A. Zeppeli.
