Back at the lodge, Chris and Ashley find themselves in a precarious situation when they are attacked by a masked figure. They must make quick decisions to protect themselves, and the danger becomes more real as the group starts to understand that someone—or something—is stalking them. The group becomes more separated, each member dealing with their own fears and challenges.

Chapter 4

Setting: Mike and Jessica’s situation takes a turn for the worse. As they try to make their way back to the lodge, Jessica is attacked and dragged away by a mysterious force. Mike chases after her in a desperate attempt to save her, leading to a tense sequence of quick-time events. At the lodge, Chris and Ashley are still dealing with the aftermath of their encounter with the masked figure. They retreat into the lodge, hiding in the basement and other areas, trying to avoid the killer. The tension between them escalates as they struggle to survive. The chapter ends with a cliffhanger, leaving the fates of Jessica, Chris, and Ashley uncertain, and the sense that the group is being hunted by an unknown force.
