Maka Albarn

Maka Albarn (マカ・アルバーン, Maka Arubān) is a one-star scythe meister at Death Weapon Meister Academy and the daughter of Spirit Albarn, the Grim Reaper's current weapon partner. Disgusted by her father's antics, she followed in her mother's footsteps and became a scythe-meister partnered with the magic scythe, Soul Eater, in order to create a death scythe more powerful than her father.

Personality

Possessing a rather serious personality, Maka is a studious girl with excellent grades and is noted to be courageous enough to fight against fear itself. She is, however, repulsed by womanizing antics such as that from her father.

Appearance

Maka is a flat-chested, teenage young woman with light taupe hair which she keeps in pigtails, although there are certain times she may stylize them into buns or wear them straight down. Maka's primary outfit is a typical schoolgirl outfit consisting of a white blouse with a yellow sweater vest, a green striped tie, a red plaid skirt, and black boots with white buckles. When using Soul, she usually wears white gloves. Maka also wears a trench coat with a cloak-like ends.

Special Abilities

Anti-Magic Wavelength (退魔の波長, Taima no Hachō): Maka possess a specialized soul wavelength that is capable of driving away evil, inherited by her mother. This wavelength allows her to perform a rare technique known as Genie Hunter. Wavelength Control (波長コントロール, Hachō Kontorōru): As a meister, Maka is capable of controlling her wavelength enough to enable herself to wield a magic weapon and utilize soul resonance techniques.

Maka Chop: With a book on hand, the user strikes their intended target from the side, creating a comedic and animated dent into the other as punishment for their antics. Soul Perception (魂感知, Tamashī kanchi): Maka awakened this technique during her fight with Stein, allowing her to see the souls of a living person.[15] Under Stein's training, she became able to sense the feelings of others[25] and later know the characteristics of a person's soul. Witch Hunter (魔女狩り, Majogari): Maka is able to utilize this advanced technique despite her young age, able to change the form of her magic scythe's blade and deliver a damaging blow.[15] This technique utilizes her Anti-Magic Wavelength. Genie Hunter (魔人狩り, Majingari): A more powerful version of Witch Hunter in which expressly the Anti-Magic Wavelength. A powerful technique that Mosquito found considerable, it was capable of slashing through his 100 Years Ago body, causing his entire body to explode.[23] It was also capable of exercising evil into others while leaving innocents intact, Maka having exercised Medusa's soul from Rachel Boyd and killing her without injuring the young girl.
