Appearance

Itsuki appears younger than he actually is, being older than Ren, even though it may seem otherwise. He is short and quite thin. He has wavy hair, which he wears slightly disheveled. His eyes are a peculiar golden color due to the effects of his series of curses. Most of the time he maintains a calm and even somewhat gentle expression. He is usually seen wearing light clothing, using minimal protection on the side that holds his bow; he wears a sleeveless tunic with light clothing underneath. Additionally, he wears thin leather gloves, leather boots, and a green hood-like cloak tied around his neck and right shoulder.

Personality

He feels that he is the strongest of the Heroes and undergoes stealth missions to kill those corrupt nobles and save the villagers, almost always just for praise. Being a bullied child in his past has left Itsuki with a desire to be special and superior. His sense of justice and need for praise stem from this, as does his inability to deal with the meek Rishia Ivyred, who constantly reminds him of his weakness. He called himself an ally of justice and tried to act accordingly. However, he missed the true essence of justice and instead acted on his own selfish desires to be praised. His sense of justice was so overwhelming that he refused to listen to what anyone had to say and believed that his own was the only true justice. Although he speaks about justice on a regular basis, his viewpoint is incredibly self-indulgent and one-sided. He was willing to kill everyone he believed to be evildoers just because he believed they were evil and was willing to kill them. At first, like the other heroes, he believed that the world they had arrived in was identical to that of a video game. He even went so far as to believe that it was the work of God, the master of the game. He believes that the fact that Rishia is stronger than him must be a trap. He also thought that he was immortal since the "game" would not let him die.

History

Before being summoned to the world where the story takes place, Itsuki lived in an alternate world, where some people were born with various supernatural abilities. Itsuki was born with the supernatural ability "Precision", meaning that any ranged shot from a gun or device he fired, if not blocked, would hit its target. As such, he was admitted to a high school designed for children with special abilities. Due to his experiences in elementary school, which he spent in a regular class with people without abilities, he had developed the impression that he was particularly special due to his ability. However, his ego plummeted upon entering high school when he discovered that he was ranked among the weakest of those with abilities. Due to his supposedly weak ability, he was bullied throughout his school years and turned to console games to escape reality. On his way home, he was suddenly hit by a speeding truck without warning. Later, he was summoned to another world as one of the Four Legendary Heroes, becoming the Hero of the Arc.
