Gojo Satoru

Affiliation

He is a teacher and Jujutsu sorcerer. Gojo spends his time teaching at Tokyo Jujutsu High, a school for sorcerers where they learn to use cursed energy and fight curses. Satoru imparts his wisdom to the next generation, saying “I’m going to reset this crappy Jujutsu world. It’d be easy to kill everyone who’s in charge. But someone else would just take their place. Nothing would change. And it’s not as if people approve of massacres anyway… So that’s why I’m turning to education. I need strong and intelligent allies. I need to foster them.” Satoru is the pride of the Gojo Clan, the first person to inherit both the Limitless and the Six Eyes in four hundred years. He is the strongest sorcerer in the world.

Appearence

Satoru is a very tall, lean and muscular man who is in his late twenties and is considered relatively attractive, mainly due to his facial features. He has snow-white hair and the a vibrant blue color eyes. Satoru normally covers his eyes with a black blindfold which props up his hair and gives it a spikier appearance. When sporting a more casual look, Satoru will wear sunglasses and let his hair down to reach the base of his neck. While working, Satoru wears a dark blue zip-up jacket with a high collar that's also fairly wide. He wears slim-fit matching black pants and black dress boots. Before switching over to a simple blindfold, Satoru used to wear bandages over his eyes. Satoru enjoys wearing expensive clothing and has a number of casual looks he'll pair with wearing his sunglasses.

Personality

playful, cocky, and strategic. Underneath Satoru's relaxed demeanor lies someone who isn't to be messed with. Satoru's confident in his larger-than-life abilities and while merciless to enemies, he retains a soft spot for his students. He knows his power and his ego is backed by it. He has mastered combat and his abilities as it is shown by the disrespectful and cruel manner he approaches his enemies and others. Satoru is a complex individual. He is normally seen to be nonchalant and playful towards his students, close colleagues, and friends.

Powers

Aside the fact, that he has immense strength, he is a master in hand-to-hand combat, Satoru can teleport and fly. Born with two unique techniques that have been passed down in the Gojo clan for generations — Six Eyes and Limitless — Gojo is a nearly invincible sorcerer who managed to master both of his inherited skills. The core of Satoru's techniques lies in Limitless, a method that uses cursed energy to control space. For example, his cursed technique called Infinity redirects attacks toward him onto the infinite space between him and the enemy. There are many more abilities Satoru is hiding under his sleeves—his reputation precedes him, after all. Infinity is the base state of the Limitless and is essentially the power to stop. The Limitless technique operates the same way convergent and divergent sequences do in mathematics. The Infinity is the convergence of an immeasurable series, anything that approaches the infinity slows down and never reaches the user. This is because the technique takes the finite amount of space between the two subjects and divides it an infinite amount of times.

Hobbies

Satoru Gojo doesn’t have any hobbies and generally tries not to get too invested in anything. The explanation given for Gojo’s lack of leisure pursuits is that he is simply too good at everything he tries, as well as that he doesn’t want hobbies to distract him from his overarching goal of reshaping jujutsu society. But he likes to eat anything sweet.

Cursed energy

Cursed Energy is a power source aligned with negative emotions used by sorcerers and curses to fuel their jujutsu. Cursed Energy is born from negative emotions such as grief and anger. These negative feelings are common in human society so almost everyone possesses cursed energy. If this amount is higher than a certain degree, it grants the person the ability to see curses, which is very rare among the human race. Curses are apparitions manifested entirely from cursed energy. Even their bodies are composed of cursed energy, making cursed spirits invisible to non-sorcerers. Jujutsu related items such as cursed tools, cursed objects, and cursed corpses all contain cursed energy. The emission of cursed energy from humans collects like sediment until a cursed spirit is born from the collective negative energy.[1] Curses born with strong feelings directed toward a certain aspect are especially strong. The stronger humanity's fear and anger is directed at cursing a certain aspect of the world, like natural disasters, the more powerful curses spawned from those negative sentiments will be. Humans with an above-average level of cursed energy can see curses and jujutsu. The minimum requirement for a human to be considered a sorcerer is the ability to see curses. In extreme cases, humans will gain the ability to see curses when their life is in danger. Satoru Gojo compares cursed energy to electricity, it's volatile in nature and difficult to use in its rawest form. While raw cursed energy can be used for it's blunt force, it's best used by sorcerers to power their techniques in the same way electricity is best used to fuel electronics. In this case, cursed energy is flowed into a technique to activate a sorcerer's unique abilities. However, cursed energy does not flow on its own.

Other characters

Yaga Masamichi. He was the Principal of Tokyo Jujutsu High and a grade 1 jujutsu sorcerer. He was a cursed corpse user as well as Panda's creator and father. Prior to becoming Principal sometime after 2006, Masamichi was a second-year teacher to Satoru Gojo. Masamichi was a tall man with a muscular frame and tan skin. He had short, spiky, black hair on top with the rest of his head shaved. He has thick eyebrows and his facial hair consists of a mustache and goatee combination. Like many other sorcerers, Masamichi always sports sunglasses. Yuji Itadori. He is a first-year student in Tokyo Jujustu High. Yuji is a young man of average height and appears to have a slender build when wearing baggy clothing, but actually has a lean and muscular physique. He also has relatively large light brown eyes and spiky pink hair that's styled in an undercut fashion. Megumi Fushiguro. A first-year student in Jujutsu High. Megumi is a relatively tall and slim young man with fair skin and dark-blue eyes in the anime adaptation that slant upwards to denote his harsher and colder personality. He has uniquely styled black hair with long spikes that jut out in every direction around his head, resembling a sea-urchin. Nobara Kugisaki. A first-year student in Tokyo Jujustu High. Nobara is of average height with a slim figure. She has mid-length brown hair that reaches to her neck that is styled with bangs that cover the right side of her forehead. Nobara has orange eyes, long eyelashes and thin eyebrows of the same color. Nobara is a confident and brash young woman with an unshakable character. More than anything, Nobara is determined to stay true to herself no matter what. She takes great pride in being both a pretty girl and a strong fighter, refusing to let anyone influence her.
