First, he found an old sword in the fishing village where he was born. The blade awakened memories of two children dreaming of identical swords, despite the mockery of others. Then, he found his old friend Matsudaira in the Kujou encampment, who gave him a jug of wine that reminded him of the past. After tasting it, the Nameless remembered the name "Masanori" and his friend, who was like a brother to him. The final key to his memories was a sword that had belonged to the real Masanori. Remembering his friend and their promise to return home together, he realized that his past was filled with sorrow. Understanding that further searches for memories might only bring pain, he decided to stop. The Nameless stayed in Tatarasuna, watching the sea and listening to the wind.
