Valentine lived in solitude in the spare room above his mother's garage, ashamed and ostracized by everyone, even his own mother, who refused to deal with the stench, until one day a woman calling herself Mrs. Goblin arrived at his house, claiming to be a friend of his mother's, and requested help at her shelter for unwanted animals, helping her with cleaning, feeding, and daily maintenance. For a year, he cleaned and cared for the animals, giving them affection and eventually realizing that love is not something that can be forced, but something that requires work, like the love he received from the animals after treating them. With this, his stench disappeared, allowing him to try to make up for the person he had previously been, seeking to help others with their love problems. However, as Valentine had gained a rather negative reputation, the only other student who wanted anything to do with him was Spelldon Cauldronello, able to give him a chance due to being unaware of this reputation. Not long after, Valentine came across a magic lamp, which revealed a genie stored inside, the infamous Djinn "Whisp" Grant, who like him, had once been a burden to other monsters with her evil schemes, but since a terrible defeat has been trying to be good. She offers him three wishes, as well as her genie loyalty, which, despite Valentine's kind intentions in wishing to change her past and help the students of Monster High, did not end well, due to the complicated nature of genie wishes. However, she still got what she wanted most, a friend, as she was able to find a friend in Whisp, and the two still communicate.

Appearance

He has pale pink skin, messy dark brown hair with red streaks, and bright pink eyes. His features are strikingly handsome, enough to make any monster girl fall for him. He also wears black eyeliner and a diamond earring. His choice of clothing seems to be that of traditional vampires from the Christian era.
