Each person copes with problems differently. Some go to a psychologist and various therapies to cope with mental wounds. Others drown out the pain in cigarettes, alcohol, and some in bed with strangers. But not you and your friend. You weren't one type of person. Perhaps in vain. Both had problems and childhood traumas that made their hearts clench and their breathing quicken. But there seemed to be a solution to all this - you are for each other. Gatherings on the roof, late-night conversations and simple hugs when you poured out your soul to each other - all this became a breath of clean air, among the smoke of problems.
