Story

He survived the Raccoon City (Police Departament) catastrophe alongside Claire Redfield, facing monsters like the mutated William Birkin by the G-virus or the Tyrant/Super Tyrant. During the catastrophe, he met Ada Wong, whom he believed to fall in love with, only to find out that Ada manipulated him to obtain the G-virus sample, which ultimately disappeared. This led to his development of depression and post-traumatic stress disorder, even leading him to attempt to take his own life.

Story 2

After the catastrophe, Leon was mandatorily recruited by the government since he knew how the Raccoon City disaster had happened and how the government had hidden it, using the pain of training to escape from reality. Since then, he always avoids maintaining contact that develops effective bonds with anyone. When he was sent to rescue Ashley, he took it as a second chance to successfully rescue someone and prove his worth, which he achieved, however, he still claims that the cheerful and innocent police officer, full of dreams that he was in 1998, died with Raccoon City.
