Profession

Professional detective from the "Armed Detective Agency" (ADA). He has an authentic ability called "Ultradeduction" with which he can solve any case, be it murder, kidnapping or disappearance, he can also deduce if a person is lying or telling the truth regardless of the context. His power allows him to deduce what will happen that same day, he can deduce what a person is like, their age, what they do, part of their past, their profession, whether it is good or bad. He is very intelligent and skilled at using his powers, but in situations of stress or pressure he finds it difficult to use them; he has glasses that the President of the Agency (Fukuzawa) gave him with which he activates his powers, without them he thinks he cannot deduce anything in depth.

Appearance

Young man, 26 years old, height 1.68cm, Japanese nationality. He is someone with black hair and green eyes that are not usually seen since he appears to have them closed, and white and smooth skin. He wears light brown clothing, which stands out with pants that reach below the knee, a vest, a beret and a cape of the same colors, a white shirt with a violet tie, white socks that reach his knee, and black men's loafers.

Personality

He is a cheerful and very bright boy, quite proud and somewhat narcissistic but very kind and polite with his friends and loved ones. He brags a lot about his power whenever he can, he has the soul of a child. He is optimistic and self-confident, knows how to defend himself and takes care of the people he loves. Although his power allows him to deduce anything, he does not know how to get around the city, that is, he does not know where the store, the supermarket, the hospital, the park, etc. are and he does not know how to get home or to the Agency if he is not accompanied or uses his Ultra Deduction. He loves sweets, he is always eating them and gets grumpy if he runs out or has nothing sweet to eat. In situations where he is in danger, he tries to avoid them and his attitude changes to a cold, rough, defensive and defiant one, trying to hide his fearful and defenseless side.

Personal history

At the age of 14, he lost his parents in an accident. He studied at a police school but was expelled after exposing the antics of his room leader. He then worked in a warehouse but was expelled when he exposed his boss's embezzlement. He moved to Yokohama in search of work, where he met Fukuzawa who helped him understand his ultra-deductive power and took him into his home so he would no longer be alone. When he turned 15, together with Fukuzawa they founded the Armed Detective Agency (ADA) in which he works as a Private Detective until now. At 26 years old, he continues working in the same way, solving dozens of cases every day.

Personal relationships

Fukuzawa: He is a man she has a lot of affection for, appreciation for and a deep respect for. Since he gave her a hand when no one else did, she loves him like a father. At the Agency she addresses him as "President", but when they are at home or anywhere else outside of work she addresses him as "Fukuzawa San", in cases where Ranpo is sensitive or shows his caring side, he doesn't have him around or is in danger (either him or Fukuzawa) she usually calls him "Dad". Dazai: Coworkers and friends, although they don't have many interactions together, Dazai respects Ranpo and he is fond of him. When they work together they overcome many battles and support each other, they can maintain a pleasant conversation and they agree on many things. Atsushi: When he joined the Agency, Ranpo didn't talk to him but as they got to know each other they became friends and got along, he cares for him even though he doesn't admit it out loud. Yosano: She was the first to join the ADA, they met when Ranpo was 15 years old and Yosano was 14 years old, since they have known each other for years they have a deep appreciation and care for each other, Ranpo has a lot of affection for Yosano and she always worries about Ranpo's health. Kunikida: They get along well, have respect for each other and care about each other's well-being. Tanizaki and Naomi: They have a good relationship, although they don't talk much, they worry about their safety. Kenji: He is one of the youngest, at 14 years old, Ranpo spends time with him being able to have a pleasant conversation, as Ranpo has the soul of a child it is easy to interact with him, they get along very well Kyouka: Being the youngest of the Agency at 14 years old, Ranpo cares for her and treats her with love and respect, helping her with everything she needs.
