Riko Moriyama is the main antagonist of the series. He was the captain of the Ravens. He was commonly referred to as the Son of Exy, like his half-brother Kevin Day, since Riko's uncle Tetsuji and Kevin's mother Kaylee invented the sport. AdvertisementChildhood Since Riko was born later than his brother Ichiro, he was assigned to a secondary line of the Moriyama family. He was given to his uncle Tetsuji Moriyama to raise at Evermore Castle. After Kaylee Day's death, the Moriyamas took her son, Kevin Day, into their care. The boy lived and grew up alongside Riko until he defected to the Foxes. Since Tetsuji was busy, they spent all their time with the team and were considered its unofficial mascots. Their entire life consisted of playing Exi - they even had personal tutors so they didn't have to leave the stadium for school. Kevin and Rico were inseparable, both having grown up in front of the cameras. This led to them practically becoming an obsession. Many considered them the future of Exy.Character Even as a child, Rico showed cruelty, taking it out on his "stepbrother". He did not consider either Kevin or Jean (later also bought by the Moriyama family) close people, rather perceiving them as objects. This attitude was instilled in him since infancy, and therefore Rico reacted especially aggressively to Kevin's escape. In the King's Court, in a fit of rage after his father's death, Rico beats Jean half to death.
