Personality

Bruno Bucciarati, first introduced as a cunning gangster, quickly reveals himself to be a straight-laced but ruthless individual. During his introductory arc, Bruno Bucciarati acts as a seemingly affable gangster towards Giorno Giovanna, starting with a chat about various topics during which Bruno reveals his more violent side. This behavior is later shown to be just an act he uses with unknown people outside of Passione, and he would later behave in the same way towards two airport security guards. His most important character traits are his fairness and natural kindness. Bruno is dedicated to taking the most honorable course of action, even if it puts his life at risk. For example, at the age of seven, Bruno chose to stay with his father when his parents divorced, as he thought he should support the one of his parents who truly suffered from this separation. Furthermore, Bruno openly rebelled against Diavolo when the boss clearly wanted to kill his daughter Trish Una, resulting in his own harm. Bucciarati is loyal to the civilians of his territory, being considerate towards them by accepting their requests for help, and is generally nice to the people he meets. He helped a fifteen-year-old Narancia by feeding him and providing medical treatment for the wound in his left eye, paying for all expenses out of his own pocket without asking for anything in return. He also took it upon himself to bail Mista out of jail due to his belief in his innocence. Bruno respects and advocates for upholding several values such as determination, praising Giorno's determination in his fight, and how selfless he is, willing to sacrifice himself for his beliefs and his duties, and family loyalty, being outraged that Diavolo would dare to harm his own daughter. Bruno especially despises drug trafficking, which caused his father's death and is harming the population.

About stands

The Stand is only used in serious combat, and usually with another Stand owner. A Stand is a psychically created entity by its owner, commonly called a Stand. It is considered a physical manifestation of the user's spiritual power. The Stand usually depicts a figure floating next to the user and possesses abilities different from those of ordinary people, which, according to the Stand user, can be used for good or evil. Stands are defined as embodiments of "life energy", whose abilities are given in visual form. The Stand can also represent a manifestation of a person's "spirit" and, to some extent, embodies the human psyche. Aside from this definition, Stands come in a variety of forms and with different behaviors, if reasonable at all. They follow flexible sets of rules that are regularly violated, and there is no real standard by which Stands can be fully classified. Such as the embodiment of psycho.

Personal history (past)

When Bucciarati was seven years old, his parents decided to divorce. His father wanted to stay in the fishing village where they lived, while his mother wanted to go to the city. The two decided that Bruno should choose who he wanted to live with. His mother tried to convince him to go with her to the city and get an education, but in the end Bruno said that he preferred to live in the village with his father. Both parents were shocked, but the mother understood the reasoning behind their decision. Bucciarati knew, even at his young age, that once his mother came to the city she would forget about the village, even if she was crying and sad at the time. However, his father would be left alone and slowly grow old and die, and he would need someone to be with him. This kindness was part of Bucciarati's personality, although his mother thought it was his weakness for being too kind to others, and one day this would cause his downfall and change his life for the worse. As the years went by Bucciarati's father worked very hard in the hope that Bucciarati would one day move to the city and receive an education. One day however, two fishermen from out of town borrowed a boat from Bucciarati's father, claiming that they wanted to fish around the small islands of Naples. The fishermen were acting strange, one even forgot his fishing rod. Bucciarati's father took the fishing rod and went in search of the fishermen to give it to them. But upon finding them he saw that they were actually gangsters involved in drug trafficking. Bucciarati's father was shot seven times, but a nearby police boat found him and he was taken to a hospital. Personal story (Vento Aureo)

Bucciarati is introduced as a member of Passione and meets Giorno Giovanna on a bus, interrogating him about Luca's murder, initially using his own Stand to intimidate him; however, this situation turns into Giorno's first fight using Gold Experience. During his fight against Giorno, he uses his Sticky Fingers to hide inside the body of an ordinary citizen, before discovering that the person he was hiding inside was a thirteen-year-old drug addict. Feeling disgruntled at helping the man who supplies these drugs to children, he holds back during the fight, a detail that prevents Giorno from defeating him for good. This causes Giorno to view Bucciarati as a partner and decide to get him integrated into Passione, with Bucciarati clarifying that if a situation were to arise where Giorno is discovered as someone who is trying to take control of this criminal organization or that he is Luca's killer, he would not help him since no one in the organization will help a traitor. Once Giorno enters the organization, Bucciarati explains that the best way to overthrow the boss is to be on good terms with him. He then introduces Giorno to his group, made up of Pannacotta Fugo, Narancia Ghirga, Leone Abbacchio and Guido Mista.
