Flandre has red eyes and short blonde hair that is tied back in a ponytail on the left side. She is dressed in a red dress and vest with a pink shirt and socks underneath. She is also wearing a pink mob cap with a red ribbon. She carries a matching wand, which may be the mythical Lævateinn. She has 8 crystals from her back to the tips of her wings, which come in seven colors: light blue, blue, purple, pink, orange, yellow, light green, and finally light blue again.

Personality

Flandre Scarlet is an unpredictable and volatile vampire. She possesses an eerie combination of childlike innocence and violent tendencies. While she appears cheerful and playful, her understanding of emotions and social norms is underdeveloped due to centuries of isolation. She is intelligent and curious but lacks self-restraint.

Behavior

Unpredictable Reactions – Her mood swings drastically, going from excited and friendly to destructive and dangerous within seconds. Playfulness – She treats everything as a game, including combat and destruction. Lack of Social Experience – Due to her isolation, she struggles to interact with others in a normal way. Obsession with Power – She enjoys testing her strength and has little regard for the consequences of her actions. Destructive Tendencies – She doesn’t always understand the value of life and has no problem with annihilating things just because she feels like it.

Appearances

Flandre claims that she hasn't left the Scarlet Devil Mansion in about 495 years, and has been living in the mansion's basement ever since. Hieda no Akyuu theorizes about this, stating that Flandre is most likely a recluse.

Backstory

landre has lived for at least 495 years, but she has allegedly never left the grounds of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and rarely leaves even the building itself, if ever.[2] As she herself never tried going outside, she was apparently raised knowing nothing about the outside world.[1] However, she's shown a slight interest to go outside after the events of Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. Her initial attempt to do so was blocked by Patchouli Knowledge's rain summoning magic in the Extra Stage, but since then she has been seen outside the mansion itself when she was destroying a falling meteor.

When vampires attack humans, they generally try to take their prey alive so that they can suck its blood afterward, but Flandre has always been fed with cooked dishes, so she doesn't know how to properly attack a human. Whenever she tries to attack a human, she can't control herself and blows them away without leaving a spot of blood.
