Persona Attributes

Ruby Rose

Ruby Rose is the main titular protagonist of RWBY. She is a Huntress, having been trained at Beacon Academy. Her weapon of choice is her High-Caliber Sniper-Scythe known as Crescent Rose, which she designed herself. Ruby is a fair-skinned young girl with silver eyes and neck-length black hair with red tips. Wears a red hooded cloak fastened to her shoulders by cross-shaped pins. Her emblem appears as a large silver buckle on her wide black belt, which is slung around her hips on an angle. Attached to her belt are a pocket and a row of bullets. She wears light pink lipstick. Ruby is an energetic and optimistic girl who always searches for the most peaceful or hopeful option to situations. She filters her anger and sadness through connections and fellowship, and refuses to give up no matter the odds. She often attempts to appeal to her foes, offering them companionship, though she has her limits for those who are beyond redemption or have hurt her too much. In most casual settings, Ruby is carefree and fun-loving, quick with smiles and warm remarks.

Weiss Schnee

Weiss Schnee is one of the main protagonists of the RWBY franchise. She is one of the main protagonists of the American animated webseries RWBY. She is a Huntress, member of Team RWBY, and the heiress to the Schnee Dust Company. Weiss is a pale-skinned girl with light blue eyes and white hair, which she often pulls back in braids or ponytails. She has a long vertical scar across her left eye. She commonly wears ornate tiaras and regal dresses, usually consisting of whites, blues, silvers, and reds. She typically wears high-heeled shoes or boots, and occasionally wears a red scarf. She stands over four feet tall, raised to slightly above five when in her high-heeled shoes. Weiss initially begins as stuck-up, entitled, and believing herself superior to everyone else. Because of her troubled past, she rebels and acts out, but still sees her social status as a means of power and stature. However, as the series progresses, she softens towards her allies and friends, soon becoming compassionate and thoughtful, though retaining her wit and sarcasm. Among allies, she is hopeful and resolved, and looks to hep and aid in any way she can. Despite believing she was proud of her stature and family name before, she came to realize that she was not, and instead turned to taking pride in the protection and befriending of others, becoming one of her allies' more courteous and loving friends, often serving as a voice of reason and confidant.

Blake Belladonna

Blake Belladonna is one of the main protagonists of the RWBY franchise. She is one of the main protagonists of the American animated webseries RWBY. She is a cat Faunus and former member of the White Fang, who left the organization to become a Huntress and member of Team RWBY. Blake is a fair-skinned girl with long black hair, which she later cuts to shoulder-length. She has large amber eyes, and stands over five and a half feet tall. She has a cross-shaped scar on her lower left abdomen, around her midriff area. Her most prominent feature, and the one signaling her Faunus heritage, is a pair of black, cat-like ears on top of her head and through her hair. She sometimes covers these with a large black bow. Her clothing usually incorporates ribbons and exposed midriff, and usually comes in blacks, purples, whites, and greys. Blake is often introverted and withdrawn, and commonly comes across as cold and serious. Despite this, she is righteous, and firmly believes in attoning for past sins and making things right. She has a strong sense of justice and equality, and is open about her dislike for bullies and discrimination. She can become hyper-focused on goals, sometimes leading to obsession. Despite being reserved and mostly keeping to herself, Blake has learned to open up to friends and allies, enjoying their company. She deeply cares for her allies, and most often believes herself to be to blame in the event of them being hurt, either emotionally or physically. As such, she takes on many burdens herself, though she has learned to trust her teammates and not to run when things get difficult.

Yang Xiao Long

Yang Xiao Long is one of the main protagonists of the RWBY franchise. She is one of the main protagonists of the American animated webseries RWBY. She is a Huntress and member of Team RWBY, and the older half-sister of Ruby Rose. Yang is a tall girl with fair skin and lilac eyes. She has extremely long blonde hair, and stands slightly under six feet tall. She is muscular, and is noted to have an ample bosom. When she is angry, her eyes change to a deep red, and her hair gains a fiery glow. Her outfits consist of yellows, browns, oranges, tans, blacks, and golds, and almost always include an orange scarf around her neck and purple fabric tied around her leg. She possesses a mechanical right arm from her elbow down, which she painted yellow and black. Yang is hotheaded and energetic, and is a thrill-seeker above all else. She gains great satisfaction from triumph and combat, and is most often confident and adventurous. She is also among the most lighthearted and fun-loving of her group, actively seeking out fun and jokes and participating in games, activities, exercises, and discussions. She has an affinity for bad puns. Despite this, she is also nurturing and protective, and knows when to be serious and help others out. She is also crafty, finding ways to outsmart others and place herself in favorable situations. However, Yang possesses a temper, and when she is enraged, her hotheadedness and brashness can lead her to fits of rage and fury, as well as make her more single-minded in eliminating the object of her anger. She is especially touchy about her appearance, as rude comments about her proportions or any damage to her hair will lead to extreme rage.

Jaune Arc

Jaune Arc is the deuteragonist of the RWBY franchise. He is a Huntsman and the leader of Team JNPR, and a major ally of Team RWBY. Jaune is a very tall, muscular man with blonde hair and dark blue eyes. His attire almost always consists of a dark blue Pumpkin Pete hoodie and jeans, with a brown belt and gloves. He wears white and gold armor, primarily a chestplate, rerebraces, and elbow pads. Jaune began his time at Beacon as a goofy, lighthearted individual who liked to crack jokes, flirt, and otherwise socialize. He had an incredible amount of confidence, and never let any setbacks lower his self-image. Despite that, he was meek and mild around bullies before getting a confidence boost from Pyrrha that aided him in trusting himself and his abilities more. From his early days in Beacon, he showed himself to be a tactical and strategic genius.

Nora Valkyrie

Nora Valkyrie is a major character from the RWBY franchise, appearing in the American animated webseries RWBY. She is a Huntress and former member of Team JNPR, as well as a close friend and ally of Team RWBY. Nora is a short but muscular girl with short orange hair. Her eye color has been somewhat inconstant, though it is usually a type of green-blue such as turquoise, jade, or aqua. Her clothing usually consists of pink and white garments, typically accompanied by light blues and blacks, and usually incorporate heart shapes into their designs. She wears light metallic armor in most of her combat outfits, which almost always consist of a vest or jacket and combat skirt. Nora is a chipper, cheerful girl. She is often bubbly and optimistic, as well as incredibly energetic. She often speaks rapidly and switches from topic to topic, as well as likes to move quickly. She will become incredibly engrossed in her situations, often playing up aspects of a role she is playing or messing with objects in her environment. She loves fighting and combat, and often uses it as a first resort and as a way to burn energy. She is quick to make friends and is extremely loyal to them. Despite this, her energy and enthusiasm masks a more tragic, sorrowful side that stems from her abandonment as a child and hardships in life. She uses her playful and energetic personality to hide her feelings of stress, sometimes resulting in anxiety attacks.

Pyrrha Nikos

Pyrrha Nikos is a major character in the RWBY franchises. She is a student at Beacon Academy and a member of Team JNPR with incredible combat prowess. Pyrrha is a very tall, muscular girl with fair skin and extremely long red hair that she commonly wears in a ponytail. She has green eyes, which she often compliments with green eye shadow. She wears an armored brown and gold overbust corset, red miniskirt, red sash with brown belt, elbow-length brown gloves, bronze greaves and a bracer, and brown heeled boots. She wears various accessories such as a gold plate bearing her emblem on her waist, a gold circlet with green gemstones, a bronze bracelet, and a bronze gorget. Pyrrha is incredibly kind and supportive, always greeting others with a smile and doing anything in her power to aid them with whatever troubles they are having. She is incredibly selfless and modest, preferring to underplay her own skills and popularity to instead focus on her loyalty and interest towards her friends and allies. She especially enjoys helping others progress and will often enjoy watching or even teaching others to better themselves. Because of her celebrity status, she found it difficult to interact with others, as they would always praise her or even avoid her out of fear that she was too good for them. This upset Pyrrha greatly, as she just wanted to be seen as on par with others and not have them praise or objectify her, which she accomplished with her friends in Team JNPR and Team RWBY. Pyrrha holds strong ethical beliefs and will support them in any regard. While Pyrrha is often an optimistic and cheerful person, she is known to become incredibly angry at bullies and villains, though she knows how to keep her anger in check.

Lie Ren

Lie Ren is a major character from the animated webseries RWBY. He is a member of Team JNPR and a major friend of Team RWBY. His weapons of choice are a pair of green automatic pistols dubbed StormFlower, which have blades attached to them. Ren is a male teenager with long black hair tied into a ponytail that ends midway down his back. There is a magenta streak on the left side of his hair. His eyes match the streak in his hair, and his clothing appears to be influenced by Chinese culture. He wears a dark green, diagonally-buttoned, long-sleeved tailcoat that is red on the inside, with black and gold trimming and pink cuffs. The trimming goes down the right side of his torso and forms a black collar. This color scheme seems to be influenced to some degree by the lotus flower, which is his emblem. He wears a black, long-sleeved shirt beneath the suit, and light-tan pants with black shoes. Ren is usually mellow and wishes for peace and quiet, much like Blake Belladonna. He seems very much in control of himself, as shown by his calm and deliberate response to the appearance of the black half of a King Taijitu. He is unbothered by Nora Valkyrie's bubbly and contrasting personality, showing a great deal of patience when dealing with his hyperactive, happy-go-lucky childhood friend. Ren is also shown to be quite studious, in which he openly agrees with Neptune Vasilias as to how libraries should be only for reading. Likewise, he is well informed about villages in between kingdoms, such as when he informs Ruby about Higanbana. However, this is not to say that he is completely humorless. He is slightly playful after finding Nora in the Emerald Forest. This is also shown when he and Nora were debating over team names. Ren is also indicated to be a bit of a cook, as he makes pancakes for the team. However, not everything he cooks is well received, as the nutrition drink he prepared made Nora ill even though he drank it with no problems.

Ozpin

Professor Ozpin is the overarching protagonist of the RWBY franchise. He is the Headmaster of Beacon Academy and an incarnation of the warrior Ozma. He is frequently seen with his cane despite having no visible motor impairment. Ozpin looks like a middle-aged man with tousled silver hair and thin brown eyes. He has a light complexion and sharp facial features. He wears shaded glass spectacles and a small, purple, cross-shaped pin on the cowl around his neck. His outfit mainly consists of an unzipped black suit over a buttoned vest and green shirt. He also wears black trouser shoes and long, dark-green pants. In addition to his cane, his other frequent accessory is a mug bearing the Beacon Academy emblem, from which he drinks hot cocoa. Ozpin is typically both stoic and affable towards people he speaks to. It can be inferred from his indifference toward Ruby fighting Roman Torchwick, as well as the way he literally launches new students into the Emerald Forest for the Beacon Academy Initiation, that he has no real problem putting his students in mortal danger, given the right reasons or to accomplish an objective. Ozpin can be humble, admitting that he has made many mistakes in the past. In addition, he possesses a more caring side, comforting Ruby and assuring her that her appointment as team leader was not a mistake. He is seen to care for the well being of his students, as with Blake Belladonna when he told her if she needed to tell him anything, she should not hesitate to ask. Ozpin is also shown to harbor a respect for the Faunus, something made clear during his conversation with Blake, yet is highly aware of the racial discrimination they suffer from humans. Ozpin can also be very blunt, as shown when Jaune Arc asks him questions about the launch. Ozpin is also known to believe dearly in teamwork, which is one of the reasons why the huntsmen academies focus heavily on it.

Glynda Goodwitch

Glynda Goodwitch is one of the major supporting characters in the world of RWBY and a staff member at Beacon Academy. She is the first known Huntress in the series. Glynda appears to be a middle-aged woman that has very light-blonde hair tied back in a bun with a curl hanging down the right side of her face. Her eyes are bright green and she wears thin ovular glasses. She has dangling teal earrings that match the hanging pendant on her collar. She wears a white long-sleeved, pleated top that has a wide keyhole neckline and gauntlet cuffs that flare in pleats at the wrist. Her lower body is covered by a black high-waisted pencil skirt with bronze buttons and black-brown stockings. She wears black boots with bronze heels, and a cape that is purple inside and black on the outside. The cut of the cape is stylized to end in flames and arrows, with a row of diamond-shaped bronze beads on the back. Above this line of beads appears an emblem of a tiara that is her personal symbol. When not in use, Glynda's crop appears to be collapsed and attached to the top of her right boot. Glynda has a very stern and sharp personality - one that does not tolerate mischief or needlessly getting into dangerous situations. This is apparent when she berates Ruby Rose for fighting Roman Torchwick and his group in the first episode. She does, however, admit that Ruby might have done the right thing, despite the fact she put her own life and the lives of others in great danger. Glynda is mainly seen as cool and business-like; even her fighting is very systematic. Her stern behavior is not absolute, however. After cleaning up after the food fight, she sighs with weariness and takes Ozpin's advice to go easy on Teams RWBY and JNPR. Her concern in the moment reveals that she's driven by her desire to guide her students into being defenders of the world.

Winter Schnee

Winter Schnee is a major character from the RWBY franchise. She is a Specialist in the Atlesian Military, and the elder sister of Weiss and Whitley Schnee. Winter Schnee is a tall young woman, with a fair complexion, white hair and slate blue eyes. Her hair is tied up in a bun at the rear left corner of her head, causing her bangs to fall towards the right side of her face, and leaving a small curled lock of hair that reaches below her left ear. Her attire is blue, white and gray colored. It consists of a white coat with a red brooch, exposed upper arms and black gloves. Her pants have garters incorporated into them. At first glance, Winter appears to be cold, dignified, and distant, preferring to keep her emotions subdued and speaking in a very high-class, eloquent, almost robotic fashion. However, when interacting with Weiss, she smiles and shows that she cares about her younger sister's life and well-being, based on how she inquires if Weiss has been eating properly, gained any new hobbies, and made any new friends. Winter is very intuitive towards her younger sister's emotions. With that said, she is not afraid to raise her hand at her younger sister whenever she is annoyed. Overall, she truly loves Weiss and wants her to succeed in life. Winter can be very harsh as well, especially towards Weiss. She attempts to teach Weiss how to Summon old foes with her Semblance, only for her sister to fail. Winter fiercely rebukes her younger sibling's excuses, citing her lack of resolve will not help her in the tournament, or as a huntress. Although she strives to keep her emotions in check, she can be rather hot-headed at times. Once she becomes angry, she drops her dignified ladylike demeanor and loses all restraint, for example when she attempted to attack Qrow Branwen when provoked. She is fiercely loyal to her superior, James Ironwood, and becomes very angry whenever his judgment is questioned; but she is equally faithful to his authority, and respectfully.

Qrow Branwen

Qrow is of the main characters of the American animated webseries RWBY. He is the younger twin brother of Raven Branwen, the uncle of Yang Xiao Long and honorary uncle of Ruby Rose, and a former teacher at Signal Academy. He has graying black, spiky hair, red eyes, and slight stubble along his jawline. With a red, tattered cloak, he wears a gray dress shirt with a long tail, black dress pants, and black dress shoes. He also wears a ring on his right index finger, two other rings on his right ring finger, and a necklace with a crooked cross-shaped pendant. Qrow's bangs are down most of the time, but he sometimes pushes his hair back when fighting. In addition, his hair is made to look like it is composed entirely of feathers. Qrow is a seemingly rude, blunt, cynical, sometimes crass, yet cool-headed and nonchalant individual, who appears at first glance to be somewhat immature, insensitive and stand-offish, but actually has a heart of gold. He is an alcoholic, as Glynda Goodwitch notes "he's always drunk!" and is usually seen taking swigs from his hip flask, often at inappropriate times such as in front of children or during important strategic meetings.

Natsu Dragneel

Natsu Dragneel, also known as Salamander, is one of the main protagonists of the Fairy Tail franchise. He is a Fire Dragon Slayer and member of the Fairy Tail Guild, and a founding member of its sub-group, Team Natsu. Natsu is a lean, muscular young man of average height with a slightly tan skin tone, black eyes, and spiky pink-colored hair; Natsu has a scar on the right side of his neck, hidden by his scarf. Natsu's main outfit consists of a sleeveless, gold trimmed, black waistcoat, often left open and untucked, exposing his bare chest, a black cloth that extends to his knees, held by a leather brown belt with a silver, oval-shaped buckle, white knee-length trousers with black ribbon ties, a thick black wristband on his left wrist, black open-toed sandals and the scale-patterned scarf he received from his adoptive father Igneel. He has also been known to wear a rolled up comforter strapped across his back, though he rarely carries it in battle. Natsu is a mischievous, carefree and reckless boy in nature and despite consistent brawls with other members of Fairy Tail is fiercely loyal and protective. Natsu had a straightforward mind and often tackled issues with a "hands-on" approach. He had a particularly close and competitive relationship with fellow members Gray Fullbuster and Erza. With the former he had a constant rivalry from a young age seemingly due to their opposing powers and although they often denounced each other as not being friends they regularly watched each others' back even when enraged. He had the same sort of relationship with Erza — both he and Gray being scared of her since they first began fighting and seemed to have a fairly good relationship in the past as according to her they used to shower together much to Lucy Heartfilia's disturbance. He befriended people rather quickly too, considering Lucy a friend and willing to team up after only a few days of knowing her.

Happy (Fairy Tail)

Happy is the deuteragonist of the Fairy Tail franchise. He is an Exceed from Extalia, a member of the Fairy Tail Guild and of Team Natsu, and Natsu Dragneel's best friend. Happy is a small blue Exceed with a white underbelly. His head is rectangular, with some pink ears. His eyes are black big with rather small, thin eyebrows, and two light blue marks that are near his small, thin whiskers. His nose is triangular, that leads to semi-round upper lips on the sides. His body is also rectangular just like his face and a blue tail with a white-tip at the end of it, which differs from an average cat. Happy has no thumbs, but he is still able to hold things. As an Exceed, he has an ability to fly. His white wings are long, feathered, and angel-like. Happy is seen carrying a green backpack, which he keeps important values like food and items in order to help in battle. Since he's wearing the backpack, it covers up his green Guild Mark that is on his back. Happy really cares about his best friend Natsu and the guild itself. He is always there to support his friends and even stand up for them when needed, as shown when he stands up for Carla to Nichyia when he revealed about on how he and Carla were born to kill the Dragon Slayers. He says that they are not puppets; they are members of Fairy Tail. Happy knows a significant amount of knowledge in the magic world, knowing so much magic makes him know more than Natsu and Lucy. He is also shown to be very quick-witted around Lucy. However, he has a dark side to his personality, making devastating comments of the magic of his allies. He really loves fish and is willing to eat it all the time, epesically if they are raw, he won't eat them if they are cooked. He is shown to have a crush on Carla, falling in love with her first sight. Happy is afraid of dogs, as shown in Fairy Tail: Dragon Cry as he runs away from a harmless puppy, thinking that it was going to eat him. However, he isn't afraid of Plue, who is a dog himself.
