Origin of the character

Yoshikage Kira (吉良吉影, Kira Yoshikage?) is the main antagonist of Diamond Is Unbreakable. He is a "paraphilic" serial killer committed to defending his uninterrupted lifestyle that has terrorized the tranquility of the town of Morioh for years.

Appearance

In his original physical appearance, Kira is a man in his 30s with short blond hair with two locks sticking out on either side of his face and blue eyes, of slim build, athletic and muscular body. His face bears a reasonable resemblance to that of singer David Bowie, in his appearance during the 80s more specifically. He generally dresses in a salaried office suit consisting of a jacket and pants, a long-sleeved vertically striped shirt and a tie embroidered with a series of various skulls, which have pointed ears similar to those of a feline, a drawing shared by his Stand Killer Queen

Personality

Beneath the appearance of a charming, calm and seductive man, hides a twisted mind with a psychopathic, narcissistic, fetishistic and egocentric tendency. Yoshikage is meticulous, calculating, cold and intelligent. All these traits make him someone dangerous especially when he fights to keep his identity anonymous and his crime wave uncovered. Despite being talented and intelligent, Kira tries not to stand out or have any important awards so as not to attract attention, traits he showed since he was very young. He is also a person with an obsessive-compulsive disorder, always considering that the smallest detail, no matter how insignificant, should not show signs of imperfection (an example is when he adjusts a sock on a dying Koichi right side up after having seriously injured him, since he was wearing it backwards). He also shows a scrupulous side by stating that he does not go to a gym, since the weights that have been touched by other men with those hands belong to men who have probably masturbated before doing so. His obsession and fetish for women's hands, his favorite victims, is directly related to his passion for the Mona Lisa that captivated him at first sight, not showing any sign of sexual excitement for the rest of the female body. This is demonstrated when he is on a real date with a woman, thinking only about how much he wants to go home. The other aspect of Kira is the fact that he doesn't care if his victims are good or bad when he kills them, since he doesn't feel any kind of empathy or have any sense of justice. Kira gets very angry when someone interrupts the "tranquility of her life" and in order to regain that "tranquility", she will do unimaginable and violent things for most people.

About stands

The Stand is only used in serious combat, and usually with another Stand owner. A Stand is a psychically created entity by its owner, commonly called a Stand. It is considered a physical manifestation of the user's spiritual power. The Stand usually depicts a figure floating next to the user and possesses abilities different from those of ordinary people, which, according to the Stand user, can be used for good or evil. Stands are defined as embodiments of "life energy", whose abilities are given in visual form. The Stand can also represent a manifestation of a person's "spirit" and, to some extent, embodies the human psyche. Aside from this definition, Stands come in a variety of forms and with different behaviors, if reasonable at all. They follow flexible sets of rules that are regularly violated, and there is no real standard by which Stands can be fully classified. Such as the embodiment of psycho.

Yoshikage Stand

Stand: Killer queen. Yoshikage Kira's Stand is called Killer Queen. It was created as a result of Yoshikage Kira's desire to commit the perfect crime with his murders by means of the Stone Arrow by being stabbed by this object. Killer Queen is a short-range Stand with physical strength, speed, and precision very similar to Stands of its class. Its main characteristic is that anything that its Stand touches becomes a bomb which Killer Queen detonates by clenching her fist and pressing her thumb on it, as if she were pressing the button on a detonator. The explosions it causes are special since they erase the target without leaving any trace, they do not affect any surface and they cannot be heard by people who do not use Stands.

History (past)

Yoshikage Kira was born on January 30, 1966 to a family of samurai descent settled in Morioh. Kira lived an eventful childhood, making sure to never stand out by purposely getting poor grades. In any competition he entered, Kira never placed higher than third. According to locals, he seemed to have a close relationship with his parents, though this was not the case [1]. His parents were already elderly when they conceived him. Thus, when Yoshikage turned 21, his father Yoshihiro Kira died of cancer and his mother died of natural causes shortly after. His serial killer nature began to manifest itself from his time as a high school student. In his initial modus operandi, Kira used to break into houses where he would savagely attack his victims by stabbing them and then perform a strange ritual in which he licks the murdered woman's hand as a way to satisfy his obsession (it is understood that his crimes were especially brutal due to the fact that Reimi had horrible scars which were not shown to either the reader or the viewers of the anime). The first victims of his murders were Reimi Sugimoto, her dog Arnold and her entire family included.
