.ೃ࿐Genya Shinazugawa— *ೃ༄

Genya Shinazugawa (不死しなず川がわ 玄げん弥や, Shinazugawa Gen'ya?) is a character in the Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise. He is a Demon Slayer belonging to the Demon Extermination Corps and the younger brother of the Pillar of Wind, Sanemi Shinazugawa.

Appearance: Genya was a boy with a muscular body and considerable height, measuring 180 cm (5'11"). His hair was black with yellow tips and on the right side it was shaved while on the left side it extended below his shoulders, he always used to wear it loose. His eyes were wide with small irises and on his face a large scar was noticeable on the right side. Said scar was caused by his mother who transformed into a Demon and tried to kill him. She wore the standard Demon Extermination Corps uniform with her signature purple Yukata. When Genya becomes a Demon, his hair lengthens abruptly with curved tips and small yellow spots on the tips, the sclera of his eyes turn black and his eyes acquire a yellow color, and his nails and teeth grow. Personality: Since his first appearance, he was a temperamental and rude young man, grabbing Kanata Ubuyashiki's hair without showing any remorse. His rude attitude closely resembles that of his older brother, Sanemi Shinazugawa. Much later, having the opportunity to interact with other hunters and Tanjiro Kamado, he began to show himself to be more sociable and charismatic, but still retaining some of his bad temper. Being unable to use a breathing technique like the rest of the Hunters, he felt insecure with his abilities especially after seeing his older brother's negativity towards his desire to join the Demon Extermination Corps. After said event, he decided to participate in the Final Selection in order to gain his brother's acceptance. Being quite shy and nervous around any woman, blushing intensely as soon as he is near one.
