History.

A talented young sorceress, Ying is a master of illusions and deception, able to baffle her opponents with disorienting tricks. That same magic can also calm the minds of her allies to ease their suffering and heal their wounds. She was forced to use these abilities to escape the hunt of a criminal king who wanted her power over illusions, someone she hopes to bring to justice as he roams the Kingdom. She later became an adventurer, and when the Crystal War broke out and the Magistrate began his campaign of conquest, subjugating the Kingdom in an attempt to restrict the people's use of magic, she felt it was her responsibility to join the Resistance in their fight against oppression and protect others like her. As it turns out, justice would find her. Following House Aico's rise to the Magistrate's leadership, Ying joined Zhin's New Resistance. According to Atlas, in the Lost Future, Ying would end up dying at some point.

Equipment

Ying wields an illusory mirror enchanted with her own magic. This mirror is circular in shape, with a grey inner frame made of multiple pieces, and an outer frame made of 4 emerald pieces, each with a purple energy crystal embedded in the center of each piece. All of the pieces of the illusory mirror can be separated and levitated, which usually happens when Ying uses it for her magic. Ying wields the Illusory Mirror, which levitates and floats in the air by magic, following Ying. Her main attack is channeling Ying's magic to fire a beam of magical energy. These beams can be basic, only doing damage with varying power, from causing superficial wounds on the skin of individuals, to creating huge explosions on impact that knock down buildings, all depending on how much energy Ying uses with her mirror. Although using too much energy without stopping can damage the mirror and leave it unusable for a few minutes. Ying can also use more complex magic on her mirror shots, and give special properties to the rays. These are the ones Ying knows: - Fire rays of metamorphosis that transform the target into something else. Living targets can only transform into another living being, such as a harmless animal or plant. If the target is inert, it can only transform into another inert object. - Fire healing rays, which instead of hurting, recover a little of the target's vital energy and cure light and medium wounds. More injured targets will require more Ying energy to recover. - Fire a paralyzing beam, which if it hits someone, will prevent them from moving for a while. On unpowered mortals it works for several minutes, but on powerful and/or large targets, it doesn't last more than a few seconds, unless Ying uses a lot of energy. And in addition, Ying carries a few scrolls strapped to the back of her waist. In them, Ying writes down her magical knowledge and other discoveries.

Ying is a sorceress, and her specialty is illusions. Ying has the ability to levitate and fly with magic. In fact, Ying almost always moves around by levitating at low altitudes above the ground. Ying is perfectly capable of walking and running, and will do so if necessary, but she prefers to levitate. Ying can move through the air with a maximum speed of 280 kilometers per hour. As for the height limit, it is up to how high the air is breathable, usually 6000 meters or 6 kilometers. Ying can also use her magic to perform mind tricks. With these, Ying can trick someone into believing a lie. She can mentally manipulate a person and control them. She can also make someone see things that aren't there, as if they were in a different place. And she can manipulate a person's dreams. However, all of these mind tricks are difficult for Ying to perform. Ying must concentrate intensely on one person, and remain focused. Any interruption has a high chance of disrupting her mental connection. And also, people with a strong mind and/or magic power can resist. Ying is also known for her healing powers. By concentrating her magic, she can easily heal minor and medium physical injuries on one or more people. Ying often extends her palm, almost resting it on the person(s) she is healing, in order to channel her magic better and more efficiently. Ying can also heal serious physical injuries, but it is more costly for her, and can only heal two people at a time. With the same magic, Ying can treat illnesses. She can cure simple colds and infections. But more violent illnesses such as rabies or cancer she can only treat and delay. And by using her healing magic, Ying also relieves the pain and suffering of the people she heals. She can also alleviate sorrow and sadness, and reduce emotions of hatred and anger. Ying's healing magic calms people down and makes them relaxed.

Delusions

Ying's greatest power is illusions. With her magic, Ying can create illusions, physical copies identical to herself, including illusory mirror copies, and just like her, they stay and move by levitation, and can fly. These illusions look and feel real to the eye and touch, clothing and skin. Although inside they have a crystalline composition. Ying can control her illusions directly, or give them limited free will by giving them a target to follow. As for intelligence, up to 3 illusions can exist sharing Ying's intelligence. Ying can make many more illusions at once, but they will become more silly and disorganized. As for power, the illusions have a basic level of Ying's magic power. They can usually destroy a wall with their mirror shots at most, and/or use healing magic that will heal light wounds and soothe medium wounds. They can also attempt to use other forms of specialized magic, metamorphosis and paralysis, but it is not usually effective. Ying can grant more power to one or more illusions, but at the cost of her own power. When illusions receive enough damage, or a lethal wound, they die, revealing their true crystalline form and shattering into a thousand pieces that immediately disappear. Alternatively, illusions can perform a deadly attack. This involves literally exploding and shattering into a thousand pieces, with the force to knock down half a house. This involves the death of the illusions. Ying can teleport with a power called Dimensional Link, which allows her to swap bodies with her illusions. Only with this method does she require an active illusion. And since illusions are usually identical to Ying, this allows her to confuse her rivals and trick them into thinking which Ying is the real one. Ying can create illusions in the appearance of other people or creatures. These are more difficult to create and do not have the powers of the original person.

Other spells

Ying also knows how to use more specialized magic and spells. There are two in particular: Metamorphosis Magic: With this, Ying can shoot a beam and transform a living or nonliving being into something else. Living targets can only be transformed into other living things, such as a harmless animal or plant. On the other hand, inanimate objects can only be transformed into other inanimate objects. Of course, Ying is limited to simple things, such as turning a stick into a stone. She can't create food from a grain of sand for example. Paralyzing Magic: Ying projects a lightning-like bolt of lightning that paralyzes the target if it hits. Mortals without powers are unable to move for several minutes, while larger and/or more powerful beings are more resistant to the paralysis, in some cases, immune.
