backstory

alexis Rhodes is the main female protagonist in Yu-Gi-Oh! GX. She is the best female duelist in Duel Academia, and has a very keen eye for details, being able to read every one of her opponents moves. She forces her opponents to play their best cards, that way making her victory much more satisfying Being the smartest at the academy of all the girls, Alexis has many boys who find her attractive. However, Alexis' personality is more geared toward the game than love. In the anime, Alexis plays a "Cyber Girl" deck and used "White Night" deck when she was brainwashed into the Society of Light by Takuma Saiou, while in the manga she plays an "Ice" deck. In the second season of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, Alexis moves into an available room at the Osiris Red dormitory to try to avoid the professor of the Obelisk Blue dorm, Cronos de Medici.

appearance

Alexis' character design was overseen by Kenichi Hara. Her usual outfit consists of the standard female Obelisk Blue uniform, complete with an optional pair of fingerless gloves. Her dark blond hair is sporadically arranged, with a large portion trailing the upper part of the nape of her neck. She has brown colored eyes. She carries an Academia-issued Duel Disk on her left arm. During her senior year, she carries a duel disk with blue trim representing the Obelisk Blue dorm on her left arm.

jaden yuki

backstory: jaden is the main protagonist in yugioh gx. He attended Duel Academy and was put in the Slifer Red Dorm, the dorm with the least privileges, due to his poor grades in the entrance exam

appearance

Jaden's usual outfit consists of the standard Slifer Red uniform, unbuttoned, and a black shirt underneath. A Deck box is strapped above his waistline, largely hidden beneath the lower rim of his jacket. In the first episode he is seen wearing a high school uniform similar to the one worn by Yugi Muto, though colored black instead of blue. He also wore a KaibaCorp Duel Disk on his left arm for his entrance exam Duel. His brown eyes are positioned directly beneath the bangs of the layer closest to his face. After joining Duel Academy, he carries an Academy-issued Duel Disk on his left arm.

syrus trusedale

syrus is the main protagonist of yugioh gx and is more know as jade's friend. he was also put into slifer red dorm because of low grades

appearance

Syrus's character design was overseen by Kenichi Hara. His usual outfit consists of the standard Duel Academy uniform with alternating colors over the course of the series. The designs for all three uniforms worn by Syrus are identical in basic makeup. With his red uniform, a yellow shirt is worn underneath the jacket, whereas with his yellow uniform, this is reversed. With his blue uniform, the shirt is black, and the collar has buttons not present in his other incarnations - similar to Chazz's uniform before he attended North Academy. The blue uniform also has fins in the back similar to his brother's outfit also not on his other uniforms. His blue hair (of a lighter tint than his brother's) is sectioned in three layers, his grey eyes positioned between the three bangs closest to his face and behind a pair of round-lensed glasses. He carries an Academy-issued Duel Disk on his left hand. He has also been shown wearing the Academy jersey when necessary. In episode 8, during a flashback sequence when he was young, he wore a yellow collared shirt with blue shorts and black sneakers

bastion misawa

backstory: bastion misawa is a highly analytic Duelist who resides in the Ra Yellow dorm at Duel Academy. Bastion is a mathematical genius who covers his cards and the walls of his room with endless numeric formulas, believing that everything in life can be calculated arithmetically. The neglect of his character is a running gag throughout the series in the anime as well as in the manga version of GX.

appearance

Bastion's usual outfit consists of the standard Ra Yellow. His black hair is neatly arranged, with a large portion flushed back and slightly to his left, featuring different layers where the sloping changes direction. He carries an Academy-issued Duel Disk on his left hand.

zane truesdale

backstory: zane trusedale is the top Duelist of Duel Academy. Zane serves as one of Jaden's friendly rivals during that year, though he takes a more brutal approach to Dueling after experiencing a transformation of mind during the next year. In subsequent years, he develops fatal heart conditions and seeks an opponent worthy enough to give him his final and greatest Duel before he expires, though he is later revived under unexplained circumstances during season four.

Zane's character design was overseen by Kenichi Hara. His first season outfit (left) consists of the standard Obelisk Blue uniform with a more pronounced collar, tighter-bound sleeves, and pointed rims coming out the costume's lower back. His blue hair is sectioned in three layers, his blue eyes positioned directly beneath the bangs of the layer closest to his face. He carries an Academy-issued Duel Disk on his left hand. After graduating, he keeps his Obelisk Blue uniform and adds a black fingerless glove on his right hand. Also, the button on the shirt becomes star-shaped. Zane's second outfit consists of a black overcoat with white trimmings and sharp edges. The letter "R" is centered on his belt buckle, drawn from the first letter of his name in the Japanese version. (This feature has been occasionally removed from the dub). Zane's facial expressions also elicit more angered and/or sadistic nuances than those of his previous design.

chazz Princeton

backstory: chazz Princeton is an arrogant Duelist who serves as one of Jaden Yuki's rivals throughout the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX series. Chazz is considered Jaden's primary rival in the same effect that Seto Kaiba is the primary rival of Yugi Muto. The two have Dueled one another a total of seven times throughout the seasons of the anime. Through his evolution, he goes from being a Duelist who only respected powerful cards to a Duelist who believes that there can be effectiveness in any card, specifically shown in his use of Ojama cards. He becomes a marked threat after becoming the North Academy representative but after that becomes more and more a comic relief character

Chazz's character design was overseen by Kenichi Hara. His usual outfit consists of a slightly tattered black jacket with grey trimmings and sharp edges over a purple shirt, dark blue pants and brown shoes; this was the uniform he got from his brief time at North Academy, though he continues to wear it at Duel Academy after his return. Though he has also worn the standard Obelisk Blue uniform, flowing out the costume's lower back. His black hair is sectioned in two layers, his black eyes positioned directly beneath the bangs of the layer closest to his face. He carries an Academy-issued Duel Disk on his left hand.
