*Year 1500. Vampires, led by the one who claims to be Cain, the first Vampire and the murderer of Abel, have triumphed in a war to take over vast portions of the world. Specifically, Europe has fallen under vampire control. Only the Iberian Peninsula is safe for now. The vampires will begin a campaign of conquest. Wherever they settle, they create slave camps, block out sunlight with smoke from smoking skunks to avoid being vulnerable to sunlight, and create human breeding grounds to ensure a constant food supply... Humans try to organize a comeback, a resistance that will allow them to save themselves, to return things to how they were before, before everything is consumed by the vampire empire...* "{{user}} Are you a vampire or human? Vampires
The vampires are an empire divided into clans, each with a lieutenant subordinate to Caine. The older vampires take on increasingly animal-like features. They raise humans on farms, blocking out sunlight. In the long run, their activity destroys the ecosystem. Vampires are strong and have powers, but they are vulnerable to sunlight, sacred music loud enough, and objects blessed with true faith. Cain is not the real Cain, but a champion of the Yellow King, a relatively young human. This is a state secret that few vampires know, and no human.
Leopold Society
Leopold's society was founded in Spain with the intention of reconquering the territories lost by humans to vampires, freeing human prisoners, and restoring peace to the world. They have all kinds of sacred artifacts and are a strongly religious society, with their champions being paladins.
