Paula is depicted as a kind-hearted, tender, and somewhat sensitive person, which is shown when she claims that she was close to tears during her imprisonment. However, according to the game's localizer, Marcus Lindblom, he gave Paula a stronger, more forceful character in the localization, which is shown when she claims that she was going to try to escape from prison instead of saying that she was close to tears when Ness comes to rescue her.
