Göndul is a serene-looking woman with long, fair hair tied in two loose pigtails, one on each side, in front of her. Her eyes are normally closed, but when she opens them, they appear to be a dark color. She wears a stiff hat with petal-like figures decorating the outside, a flowing off-shoulder dress with separate sleeves that opens at one side, revealing part of her legs and feathers inside, small shoes, and a long piece of floating cloth with ends that look like wings.

Much like Nikola Tesla, Göndul has a great love for science, to the point of being willing to offer her body so that the scientist could complete his current work of creating a Völundr. This has been demonstrated on multiple occasions, the most notable being when she offered her body to the scientist to fight in the eighth round of Ragnarok.

Nikola Tesla is a tall, young, thin man with curly brown hair that is parted in front. He wears formal clothing with a white shirt, black tie, and vest. He also wears white trousers with a pair of boots and a long jacket, the lower left side of which is made of a black net material. He wears a pen pinned to his left lapel and a glove on his right hand only. On both hands he wears two rings on each finger. Tesla also wears a pair of glasses which he usually wears hanging around his neck. These glasses and his hairstyle appear to be inspired by his older brother, Dane Tesla, whom he admired.

Tesla is a man of science, who deeply loves his work and the laws of physics. Because of this, he refuses to let anyone compare him to magic. [6] His passion for science can sometimes cause him to behave insensitively or rudely, as seen when he began touching and staring at Göndul to see if he was a "material" capable of turning his theory into reality. [7] According to Marie Curie, Tesla is a man who is very obsessed with his research[8] and as a result, this trait can lead to Tesla having a tendency to forget about everything else and focus solely on what interests him. For example, after he was overpowered by Beelzebub in the early stages of the eighth round, Tesla, despite being injured, became excited to see how the Staff of Apomyius increased the energy of his opponent's vibrations. He even asked Beelzebub to lend him the staff so he could study how it worked.[9] Due to his love of science, Tesla is also deeply intrigued by anything that might allow humans to advance, and is especially proud of them when he discovers them. This love of advancement even went so far as to explain the exact strengths and weaknesses of his teleportation ability, one of the few advantages he had over Beelzebub, right in the middle of their fight. His pride in advancement followed him to the very end, and he used his final moments to give a speech to the rest of Humanity, stating that as long as advancement continued, Humanity would live forever.

Plasma Pulse Jet Punch (PPJP) (プラズマパルスジェットパンチ, Purazuma Parusu Jetto Panchi): [15] Tesla puts his left hand behind him and releases a large amount of electricity to close the distance between himself and his opponent. He then punches his opponent in the head with his right fist, releasing electricity at the same time. Tesla Step (テスラ・ステップ, Tesura Suteppu): [19] Due to the fact that he can float within the Gematria Zone, Tesla moves in a strange and unpredictable manner. To go even further, he can use Tesla Step Wonderful (テスラ・ステップ・ワンダフル, Tesura Suteppu Wandafuru), which is where he circles his opponent so quickly that he leaves numerous afterimages. Plasma Pulse Punch Surprise (PPPS) (プラズマパルスパンチサプライズ, Purazuma Parusu Panchi Sapuraizu): [20] While floating, Tesla leans back so far that he almost touches the ground. From that position, he continuously spins towards his opponent. He clasps his hands together, then crosses his legs and jumps towards his opponent while spinning and releasing PPP from his fists. Tesla Warp (テスラ・ワープ, Tesura Wāpu): [21] Perhaps the greatest ability of his suit, Tesla is being able to teleport. By performing many attacks with his electrified fist, Tesla can create areas that have a high concentration of Super Tesla Particles. Tesla can only teleport to those particle-dense locations by synchronizing the particles in those areas with the Super Tesla Coil in his Völundr. The synchronization takes about 63 seconds to work. Additionally, a Super Tesla Coil breaks every time Tesla teleports, meaning he can only teleport three times. If he attempts to teleport more times than that, Göndul (which is the suit's material) will be destroyed, which would also cause Tesla to die. It should also be noted that Tesla can only teleport within the confines of the Gematria Zone, as it is too dangerous to attempt outside of it.

Before the Eighth Round of Ragnarok

Brunhilde and Göll went to see Tesla, who was writing the formula for his suit on the whiteboard walls of his room while the other scientists helping him were passed out. He apparently didn't even notice the Valkyries as he muttered to himself about how the laws of physics are the most beautiful thing in the world. It was only when Brunhilde brought up the fact that people were comparing Tesla's work to magic that Tesla stopped writing. He repeated the fact that Brunhilde called him magic and said "No! Non! Nein!". Turning to the Valkyries, Tesla claimed that he uses science, not magic, which he despises. Brunhilde asked him if he completed his current work and Tesla insisted that it was long since complete, in his head. All he wanted now were the materials to turn his theory into reality. At that moment, Brunhilde called out to Göndul, who suddenly appeared behind his sisters. Tesla approached Göndul and began to inspect his body before asking him if he would offer himself to him. Göndul gladly agreed and the two performed Völundr, resulting in Göndul becoming Super Automaton β. Tesla then noted that, what others called "God", he considered to be the laws of physics. He declared that it was his time to surpass the Gods. Tesla entered the arena for the eighth round in a flashy fashion, launching himself off a platform and throwing electricity around himself, even manipulating the electricity to spell out his own name. After the fight began, Tesla immediately began observing Beelzebub from all sides and admitted that Beelzebub was very different than what all the references said he was. Tesla assumed that this would lead to some wonder material, but Beelzebub insisted that this would end with Tesla being destroyed. Tesla assumed that Beelzebub wanted to win and destroy Humanity and said, "No! Non! Nein!"

Eighth Round of Ragnarok

He called destruction a foolish act as it was the abandonment of creation itself. Tesla claimed that the human race would never stop creating and that was something that not even the gods could stop. Not caring, Beelzebub made the first move as a crack appeared on the ground where his weapon, the Staff of Apomyius, was touching it. The crack extended towards Tesla, who dodged it as the crack reached a pillar and destroyed it. As everyone began to think it was magic, Tesla disagreed and said it was science, having discovered Beelzebub's vibration ability. With the offensive vibrations of his right hand, Beelzebub leaped forward and slashed. Tesla nearly went back in time, but the attack pierced through the abdomen of his Völundr, Super Automaton β. Tesla was amazed by Beelzebub's abilities, saying that the works of the gods were truly magnificent. This elicited no response from Beelzebub. Nikola charged at the god, imbuing his armor with electricity as he attempted to strike Beelzebub. The Lord of the Flies narrowly avoided the attack, as Tesla went on the offensive, delivering a series of rapid punches, all imbued with electrical energy, also known as Plasma Pulse Punch or PPP. This barrage was completely avoided by Beelzebub, who was able to dodge all of the attacks. Tesla then changed his strategy, attempting to land a punch, which Beelzebub dodged.

Round 8, Part 2

However, the god noticed that Tesla was not releasing any energy from his attack, and Tesla was able to land a blow on him with Plasma Pulse Jet Punch. The attack did no damage to Beelzebub, however, who used his left hand's defensive ability via his staff: Sorath Samekh: Gates of Hell. Beelzebub commented that if the attack was all Tesla had, then he was dead, switching his staff to his right hand and using Sorath Vav: Fallen Angel of Gluttony, swinging his staff downwards in a destructive arc. Nikola Tesla intercepted this attack with Plasma Pulse Punch Twin, but was unable to neutralize it and was struck by the attack, leaving him with numerous wounds and damaging his Völundr. Beelzebub, disappointed in Tesla's abilities, commented that he would not do so, considering him too weak to kill. However, Nikola simply smiled in joy, pointing out the capabilities of Beelzebub's staff and asking if he could borrow it to study. Beelzebub was not amused, and declared that he would not play along with the scientist's whims and fancies, preparing to kill him. Before he could do so, Tesla interrupted him, saying that he was getting too arrogant. The scientist then said that he was ready, and created a massive cage of electricity around the two of them, known as the Gematria Zone: Prison of the Gods. Tesla began to float around, stating that in the 9.63m by 9.63m world, Beelzebub was not a god, he was a god. Tesla then lunged forward using Zero Max, forcing Beelzebub to use Sorath Samekh to defend himself. It was not enough, however, as a gash formed on his left shoulder. Tesla then quickly maneuvered around Beelzebub, using his immense speed to trip him up.

Eighth Round, Part 3

Tesla then landed another punch, which Beelzebub again failed to fully block, resulting in more injuries. The Lord of the Flies then used his right hand to slash at Tesla, who dodged, then relied his staff with both hands towards the human, attempting to use Sorath Vav again. Before he could, Tesla dodged into the same awkward position, turning it into a spinning move and attacking Beelzebub with Plasma Pulse Punch Surprise. The impact was once again too much for Beelzebub to block with Sorath Samekh, causing him to cough up blood as he was sent flying back. Tesla dubbed his high-speed move as Tesla Step. Nikola used his speed to attempt to land another attack on the god, but Beelzebub was able to completely negate the attack with his staff. Preparing to attack once more, Beelzebub declared that the previous attack would be the last time Tesla would hit him, but Tesla disagreed. He crossed his arms as energy built up around him and vanished, reappearing behind Beelzebub and delivering a powerful Plasma Pulse Punch, resulting in a massive explosion. Despite being able to raise his left hand, Beelzebub took a massive amount of damage, the attack ripping off all of the clothes on his upper half and sending him crashing to the ground. Rising to his feet, Beelzebub declared that there were three conditions that needed to be met for Tesla to teleport away. He stated that the first was that Tesla needed time, citing his hesitation to attack him aggressively, instead focusing on preserving distance.

Eighth Round, Part 4

He guessed that the second was that Tesla could only do it over a certain distance, saying that Tesla's Steps weren't just useless moves, they were a way to get Beelzebub into the perfect position. Beelzebub then stated that the third condition was that Tesla could only teleport a limited number of times, as one of the coils attached to Tesla's Super Automaton β broke. Tesla was ecstatic that Beelzebub was able to figure out his technique, further expanding on his Tesla Warp by saying that it could only be safely performed within the Gematria Zone and that his barrage of punches was to accumulate Tesla particles. Beelzebub noted that the electricity flying out of Tesla's fists was to accumulate particles in that area, which Tesla agreed with, saying that he synchronized the particles around him with his coil and "flew away." He then stated that the ability took 63 seconds to work, prompting Beelzebub to ask why he would give such a thing away. Tesla then stated his philosophy that science and humanity had only progressed because they shared their strengths and weaknesses freely, and that withholding information was a crime in itself. Beelzebub smiled as he stood up, stating that humans talked too much, before coughing up blood. Beelzebub struggled as Tesla relentlessly attacked his shield. He attempted to strike Tesla, but he dodged it. Beelzebub took advantage of the distance to place both hands on the skull of his staff.

Round 8, Part 5

The skull's eyes began to glow as Tesla attempted to strike Beelzebub. The god was knocked back, but the skull continued to glow as he poured his power into it, using the vibrations from his left and right hand. Beelzebub's body swelled, and the energy created a giant black orb around the fighters, which then erupted in a massive explosion, destroying the Gematria Zone in the process. The attack, known as Underworld's Original Sin No. 0: Chaos, ripped the floor of the arena apart, severely injuring both Tesla and Beelzebub. Beelzebub noted his surprise at Tesla's survival, as another coil of Tesla's armor broke, as he used it to reduce the damage done by the attack. The Lord of the Flies acknowledged Tesla as amazing and prepared to finish him off, but Tesla simply stated that there was no end to humanity. Creating the Gematria Zone again, Tesla used Tesla Step to attack Beelzebub with more electrified blows, forcing the god onto the defensive again. Beelzebub struggled to block Tesla's attacks due to the damage his body had sustained after using Chaos, but was able to slash Tesla with his right hand after stopping one of his attacks. Tesla attempted to speed away, but the damage to the ground rendered Tesla Step useless.

Eighth Round, Part 6

Nikola pointed out that Beelzebub's body had taken a lot of damage due to his techniques, to which Beelzebub reprimanded him, saying that it didn't matter and that it was all to kill Tesla. He quickly thrust his staff away as his body began to take further damage. Tesla was barely able to avoid the blows. Beelzebub then used Sorath Tau: Prayer of Darkness, using the vibrations to amplify each other and create a barrage of thrusts with the staff, the resulting explosion dealing further damage to Tesla. The scientist exclaimed in joy, calling Beelzebub's attacks incredible and calling them perfect material for his research. He used the power of the final coil to cover himself in electricity. The attack forced Beelzebub to once again use Sorath Samekh, doing his best to block the relentless attacks as his body became scarred and bleeding due to the strain. The two fighters continued their battle of attrition, as Tesla kept up his barrage and Beelzebub used both hands on his staff to defend himself. Eventually, Tesla staggered, noticing that Beelzebub's Chaos attack caused his insides to churn, and his constant contact with Beelzebub's vibrations had caused internal damage. He attempted to throw another punch, but Beelzebub deflected it and raised his right arm, planning to use a vibrational sword. However, Tesla rebalanced himself and prepared to use Plasma Pulse Punch Jet, thanking Beelzebub for allowing science to evolve once more. Just before his fist was about to connect with the god's shield, Tesla's arm disappeared in a splatter of blood. Tesla used Tesla Warp on his right arm only, causing him to teleport behind the god. Tesla then used his left arm to punch Beelzebub at the same time, using the pincer attack: Plasma Pulse Punch Cross.

Eighth Round, Part 7

Before the attack could connect, Okita Souji would end up taking Tesla from the battlefield, on Brunhilde's orders. Giving victory to the Gods, and leaving Tesla on the brink of death.

After Ragnarok

6 years after Ragnarok, Tesla is still fully recovering from his injuries. Despite having lost an arm, he has the company of Göndul, who helps him in any way. Humanity ended up winning Ragnarok, allowing living humans to continue living for another 1000 years. Tesla and Göndul went to live together, to take care of Tesla, do experiments and inventions, etc. Actually, over the last 6 years, they ended up becoming almost a couple. They hug each other for several minutes, work together on Tesla's experiments, sleep in the same bed, and other things that couples do. But, they still haven't made anything official at all.
