History
Background Morning Glory is a pegasus from Thunderhead, an Enclave city built above Hoofington, at the top of Shadowbolt Tower. Glory is the middle child of Sky Striker and Aurora. Kindhearted and intelligent, she showed a desire to help other ponies from an early age, and was interested in helping non-Pegasi. Perhaps due to her mother's past life, or perhaps her father's political leanings, she was willing to make contact with the surface to help her and the Enclave. Glory pursued an academic career in medicine, where she quickly became noted for her excellence, attracting the attention of the eccentric yet brilliant medic Morningstar. Like the rest of her family, she was deeply shaken when her mother (who had become hopeless when the Enclave returned her to the Wasteland) became a Dashite. However, despite this, Glory remained a loyal and proud member of the Enclave. Her own career in medicine was also complicated when her intelligence was noted by the Enclave's higher-ups. This resulted in her being forced to research and create new weapons against her will. To avoid this, she joined the newly formed Enclave Volunteer Corps, a civilian group of Pegasi dedicated to helping ponies in the Wasteland, which was created at the request of her father and other Thunderhead politicians, partly in defiance of Neighvarro. After weeks of survival training, she was sent to the surface to contact the settlements located near the D.C. headquarters in Rainbow Dash Skyport. Unfortunately (and perhaps with some help from the Enclave's higher-ups), the settlement Glory's squad was sent to was a raider camp. The group was overwhelmed and forced to retreat to a nearby weather station, where the survivors were gunned down by local roboponys.
Present Time Morning Glory found Blackjack hiding under a maintenance hatch at Weather Station 4. The corpses of the other members of the squad were also there. Glory was the only survivor. Unable to return to Rainbow Dash Skyport or regroup with any other Enclave units, Glory quickly befriended the Security Guard, as they shared a common goal: helping the ponies of the wasteland. Morning Glory correctly deduced that the raiders' cannibalism was due to a brain disease, and she directed the Seekers to the Enclave-controlled Skyport to relay this information to him. She was also in the Brimstone Falls Mine with Blackjack, Lancer, and P-21. After being betrayed by a zebra and shot in the back, Glory healed the Security Guard of her spinal injury. When the trio was separated, Glory was taken in by Lighthooves, an Enclave operative. The pegasus began working with him to research the raider disease at the Miramare base. Glory reunites with Blackjack when she comes to Miramare in search of her missing friends. The unicorn helps Lighthooves and his squad with some reconnaissance work, though she later learns that the Enclave's higher-ups are deliberately infecting surface ponies for testing. The operative plans to brand Glory as a Dashite to cover up his experiments with the raider disease. Blackjack tries to save her from this fate, but is too late. Lighthooves burns the pegasus's cutie mark and escapes, using the Enclave Vertibuck on the Guard. She uses the recently discovered "Trottenheimer's Folly", which destroys the Vertibuck. After being branded, Glory remains loyal to the Enclave and continues to keep an eye on Blackjack. After defeating Leo Zodiac with the help of the reaper Rampage, Glory accompanies Blackjack to Flank in search of P-21. The unicorn's heart has failed due to her early drug abuse. After the horror of Blackjack's revelation (she confessed to the things that happened in Stable 99 and accepted the fact that
rape of P-21 by her), the pegasus did not turn her back on the unicorn, believing that she could still reform. She joined Blackjack and Rampage when they declared war on the local drug trade and production, while trying to recover the prototype of Leo's AER-14 rifle. During the battle between Blackjack, Deus' raiders led by Deus himself, the Pecos, and three members of the Zodiac clan, Glory is attacked by her own sister Dusk, who is furious at the perceived betrayal. Eventually, Glory takes on another name - Fallen Glory and pretends to be dead for the Enclave. Fallout: Equestria Wiki Fallout: Equestria Wiki Monin Glory (Project Horizons) Edit Why?" captured her. She decides to toughen up so she won't be a burden to the group. When Blackjack starts talking to herself, she expresses concern about this. After returning to Stable 99, Blackjack finally reciprocates Glory's advances, and the pair begin a relationship. However, this relationship is tested early on when Blackjack leaves the group to commit suicide due to overwhelming guilt. Although the Guard is able to overcome this ordeal, Glory has been suffering the entire time, so she temporarily breaks off their relationship. While heading to Ironmare Base to negotiate a ceasefire between the Steel Rangers and the Reapers, the team ends up in the underground tunnels of Hoofington, where Glory's wing is injured. Although Pegasi wings are quite strong and tough, the effects of XMA cause Glory's wing to literally fall off. After being restored at Hoofington University, Glory loses the will to live, prompting Blackjack (who has less than a year to live due to the Corruption) to travel to Skyport to seek help and, if she does not find help, to find Dusk. Although Glory still worries about Blackjack's disability, she nevertheless rekindles their relationship, considering how much the unicorn has done for her. During a rescue mission at the Flash Industries building, Glory and Blackjack are trapped in a collapsing skyscraper. Glory falls, seemingly wanting to keep Blackjack alive, but both are ultimately spared. Operative Lighthooves catches Blackjack as she falls, and later takes the pegasus away. The parties come to an agreement that in order to restore the files of the Steelpony Project, Glory must persuade her father to reduce the volume of operations on the surface, since this provokes the Enclave's top brass to start a war between Neighvarro and Thunderhead. In the end, they are able to leave, although they are quickly found by a hybrid of Project Chimera - Brass and her manticores. falls, seemingly wanting to keep Blackjack alive, but both are ultimately spared. Operative Lighthooves catches the pegasus as she falls, and then takes the Guard as well. The two come to an agreement that in order to recover the Project Steelpony files, Glory must convince her father to scale back operations on the surface, as this provokes the Enclave's upper crust into starting a war between Neighvarro and Thunderhead. They are eventually able to escape, though they are quickly found by a Project Chimera hybrid - Brass and her manticores. After escaping pursuit and spending the night with Finders Keeper, one of the six friends who once tried to clean up Hoofington, Glory removes the tumor from Blackjack's eye. This reveals that she does not have long to live.
After Blackjack uses Trottenheimer's Folly once again to destroy the Celestia cruiser, it leaves the unicorn blind and rapidly losing her life force. Glory desperately tries to find a way to keep her alive. She arranges a deal with Professor Zodiac, the cyberdog Rover, and the Twilight Society at Tenpony Tower to turn the guard into a cyberpony to save her life. Although she dies en route to Manehattan, the pegasus finds a way to keep her alive: she connects her to Rampage's circulatory system. Despite Blackjack's concern for her own mental health, Glory continues to monitor her as she tracks Sanguine and follows EC-1101's directions.
Character traits
Appearance Glory is a lithe, compact gray pegasus with a short purple mane, outfitted with Enclave Volunteer Corps gear. She was branded by the Enclave, causing her to lose her cutie mark. After being exposed to XMA under Hoofington, she lost her left wing.
Personality Glory is idealistic and naive, having lived a sheltered and safe life before coming to the surface. She truly believes in the Enclave and the Volunteer Corps, despite the corruption within the Enclave's ranks. Her experiences in the Wasteland have dampened her enthusiasm, but she still believes in its mission. She clashes with her family, as she cares deeply for them, despite knowing that they see her as a traitor after her supposed betrayal. Glory has a bit of an adventurous streak (especially in the bedroom), and has proven herself to be willing to back up her friends in a fight. She is not afraid to threaten others when she wants something, such as when she used Leo Zodiac's laser rifle. Glory has always dreamed of, and even came very close to, becoming a medic. However, despite her medical aptitude, her intelligence was noted by the Enclave, meaning that she would most likely be channeled into scientific research. Concern that Glory might begin researching weapons was one of the reasons she joined the Volunteer Corps. Even in the Wasteland, she continues to have an interest in science, and her medical knowledge has saved ponies' lives on more than one occasion.
Glory is a lesbian and became romantically involved with Blackjack after traveling together for weeks. However, their relationship is tested time and time again by Blackjack's love of self-destruction. For example, a suicide attempt by the Guard left her severely damaged. But despite all this, they love each other. Glory is disappointed in her special pony's views on sex for pleasure. However, when P-21 and Scotch explain the principles of Stable 99 to her, she comes to terms with it a little. She is very embarrassed about her heat.
Skills and abilities Glory is a skilled surgeon and medic, capable of providing emergency care in the field and even performing surgery as complex as organ transplants. She has a good understanding of the drugs and medications used in the wasteland, as well as their side effects. She has a good knowledge of chemistry and is able to make an antidote and dye from organic compounds.
Equipment Glory prefers to wear light armor, most often of Enclave design. She later begins wearing Stonewing's old dragonhide jacket after Blackjack salvaged it from Meatlocker. She sometimes wears a mask.
Leo Zodiac's AER-14 Prototype is a rare, emerald version of the laser rifle, intended to replace the outdated rifles that were common during the war. The prototype was heavily damaged after Rampage, but Glory was able to repair and even modify it. The weapon was destroyed after Sunset attempted to kidnap Glory at the Grimhoof Military Base.
Lore of Pegasus Enclave
The emergence of the Enclave during the war years Many pegasi, when the confrontation with zebras reached its climax, were extremely unhappy with the fact that in the war they were often used as "cannon fodder" against dragons or sent as scouts, on suicidal missions, from which many of them did not return. Civilians no longer wanted to die in senseless battles, arranged, as it seemed to them, by Princess Celestia herself, who did not want to share natural resources with her neighbors. And soon, rumors began to spread among the pegasi that they, as "sky inhabitants", should quickly separate from the rest of the ponies and become an independent and self-sufficient people. Their cloud cities were completely protected from any encroachment, and no one could cause them any harm, neither ponies, nor zebras, nor Princesses Celestia and Luna themselves. But not everyone supported this position at first, and loyalty to the princesses among the pegasi remained as sincere for many years as it had been in peacetime. But the war was becoming more and more terrible every day, pegasi flying off to war often died or went missing, and many families lost their loved ones and friends, which further aggravated the situation. And so, when the war was already close to its end, one of the pegasi military units decided to start a rebellion and staged a revolution, during which many leaders supporting the princesses were overthrown and replaced by supporters of pegasi independence. After seizing power, the new government, which now began to call itself the Enclave, issued a decree according to which all pegasi had to immediately return to the sky and begin an operation to close it with clouds. And those who did not agree with this, the Enclave immediately expelled to the ground, depriving them of the opportunity to return back. And the first one to be officially expelled for disagreeing with the Enclave's new policy was Rainbow Dash herself, who openly
who refused to betray the princesses. She went down of her own free will, leaving her homeland to help her friends, for which the Enclave pegasi later began to call all traitors and betrayers "Dashites" and, as a sign of shame, burned a picture of Rainbow Dash's distinctive mark over their cutie marks. The Enclave treated those ponies who were later born in the Wasteland indifferently.
There is a common misconception among wastelanders that all pegasi belong to the Enclave (except, of course, the Dashites), but in reality, this is not true at all. Pegasi society is dominated by a mixed government, in which there are separate branches of civil and military power, as well as executive and legislative government structures responsible for writing and executing laws, called the Lower (or, in other words, the Senate) and the High Councils, responsible for writing and executing them, respectively. In the Lower Council, laws are developed and issued for the civilian population, as well as standards for the permissible influence of the military on them, the main ones there are considered to be senators, who in turn are divided into branches of their political influence (in other words, the Pegasi government is some semblance of a democratic society, where one senator is responsible for cultural life, another for sports events, and a third for agriculture, etc.). The Supreme Council, which monitors the observance of laws, often includes supreme judges and military leaders, so
Well, the military power itself (the Enclave) is essentially an unofficial, regular army of pegasi that acts independently and does not openly interfere in civilian affairs, but at the same time can freely engage in military operations and recruit new recruits among the civilian population. Civilian pegasi usually willingly join the ranks of the Enclave, because their generation knows nothing about what is happening below, and therefore they accept any lie coming from the Enclave as the pure truth. This also explains the frequent riots and desertions that occur in the ranks of the Enclave, it is enough to recall a number of incidents during Operation "Scorch" - many recruits were simply not ready for murder and attacks on peaceful earth ponies, and therefore often rebelled against their own "government".
about Dashitah
After the war When Cloudsdale was hit by a megaspell, the Pegasi repurposed the P.O.P. towers to produce clouds to cover the sky, abandoning other purposes, including military ones. Rainbow Dash, the head of the Ministry of Awesome and holder of the Element of Loyalty, disagreed with her kin. She left the Pegasi, returning to Equestria to help it. Scootaloo became the first Dashite: she objected to the Enclave's isolation policy and was branded and marked as too polluted to live on the clouds. She called herself a Dashite (the Enclave awarded her this title) and went into the Wasteland in search of Rainbow Dash. Over time, many Pegasi followed Scootaloo's example, branding themselves and abandoning the Enclave forever. Ideology The Dashites are generally motivated by the Enclave's indifferent attitude toward those living in the Equestrian Wasteland. Destiny Stone The Destiny Stone is a significant event in the life of every Dashite. It is associated with a rite of passage. Each Dashite makes a pilgrimage to the stone, leaving behind the most valuable things from their past life. Scootaloo, the first Dashite, left a recording from her pipbuck here and, in fact, the pipbuck itself. Glory, for example, was given one of the Enclave ponies wished for her confession against the Enclave Organization While it is believed that Dashites know each other in some way, there is no apparent hierarchy among them, as they are not an official organization. Pegasi born in the Wasteland are not labeled as Dashites or Targets by the Enclave, as they are not affiliated with the Enclave. Known Dashites Rainbow Dash is the first Dashite, and the Enclave brands subsequent ones with her name. Scootaloo is the second Dashite to leave the Enclave, following her idol, Rainbow Dash. Radar is an elderly Dashite who lived in the city of Friendship. Morning Glory is a Pegasus from the Blackjack Squad (Project Horizons), a member of the Volunteer Corps, who became a Dashite due to a false report of betrayal recorded in her voice by Lighthooves and forcibly branded.
