A young girl who has inherited traces of non-human blood. She is the amazing and popular waitress of the Cat Tail Tavern. “How oh how can I make drinks that taste horrible…? I had high hopes for the ‘Soy Sauce, Milk, Jueyun Chili, and Dandelion Seed Cocktail’, my most nightmarish combination to date! But even that was met with praise in the tavern: “This is little Diona’s best drink yet!” Grr… but I won’t give up…” ~ Diona, the self-proclaimed Wine Industry Assassin, working hard to put an end to Mondstadt's wine industry.

appearance

Diona is a small, fair-skinned girl with short pink hair. Part of her hair is tied up in a stiff ponytail at the front of her head. She also has orange, black, and white cat ears and tail, teal eyes, and round eyebrows. Diona's feline features are those of a calico cat. Diona wears a large, dark indigo cap, along with shorts of the same color with gold claw-print trim. She also wears a sleeveless, midriff-baring, dark indigo shirt with an orange-yellow scarf, pale pink sleeves, a vest of the same color, and white gloves with light pink claw-like patterns on the bottom. Diona carries a cold drink canteen strapped to her shorts, to which her Cryo Vision is attached. She also wears navy blue boots, which are shaped like high heels, with gold cat-shaped trim.

personality

According to her father Draff, Diona is in a bit of a rebellious phase. While Diona adores her father and idolizes him in her youth, witnessing his personality change while drunk broke the pedestal she put him on, and began her revenge against alcohol. She despises anyone who indulges in alcohol, apart from Lisa, whom she considers kind and gentle, but laments the fact that she drinks. Although Diona has the option to destroy the industry, she chose not to, instead choosing to do so by ruining the industry's reputation by becoming a waitress and serving terrible drinks. Unfortunately, her friend blessed her with a magical touch that makes all her drinks delicious, regardless of how harmful the ingredients used are, and she herself is unaware of it. In her character dialogue, Diona is shown to be a classic tsundere and is very naive. She worries about the Traveler's ability to get home safely without night vision and offers to walk them home, until they remind her that streetlights exist, and she quickly denies offering to escort them. She blames Diluc for her father's issues, despite the fact that the Vineyard of Dawn had existed long before her or her father, and doesn't see why the fans she and Barbara have are drastically different. She also seems to crave company, implying that it is a result of Draff neglecting her when she is in her drunken stupor.

Every time a guest enters the Cola de Gato tavern, the first thing they will do is look at the bar. You will often find a girl with cat ears slightly raised, a cocktail shaker in her hand and an unhappy look on her face. This is Diona, cocktail expert, star of the Mondstadt wine industry and the person who most challenges the traditional powers of wine. However, he does not prepare his wonderful cocktails on purpose, but quite the opposite. Her recipes may seem incredible to an outsider, but, as she herself says: "I am trying very hard to get rid of that disgusting drink that is alcohol." Whatever liquor you use, if something gets into your hands, you will always end up transforming it into a wonderful and incredibly delicious cocktail. Diona has a gift, but for her, that gift only causes her problems. This cocktail expert calls herself the “Wine Industry Assassin,” and her ultimate goal is, as the title suggests, the total destruction of the entire Mondstadt wine industry.

story part 1

Working as a bartender at the Cat's Tail Tavern was actually a joke on Diona's part, the first step in her grand master plan. When customers entered the tavern, they could "enjoy" Diona looking at them with disgust while they waited for her to serve them "Diona's special." "Ha! Yeah, yeah, here. Drink this lizard cocktail with sea salt and say goodbye to your drunk life!" he often tells his customers to ruin their desire to drink. However... "*Gluglu* ... *Gluglu* ... Wow! I've never had anything so wonderful! Miss, can I have another one?" "Do you want to drink more!?" To this day, Diona is still fighting her innate ability to make amazing drinks. Unwilling to throw in the towel, she has no intention of giving up on her dream of creating a truly disgusting drink just yet. However, the result is always the same, and the Cat's Tail Tavern remains a place where people gather for drinks and where satisfied customers sing praises about their skills. Diona's father, Draff, is the best hunter in Clearwater Village. With his determination, incredible hunting techniques, and cold calculation skills, there is no doubt that he deserves to be the leader of the Aguaclara hunters, for whom he is a role model. For Diona, her father was her idol, the person she wanted to become. That's why he cried so much the day the pedestal he was standing on broke. "When he's drunk, he's like a wild boar wallowing in the mud!" he said, his eyes red. But Diona refused to blame her father's drinking habit, for how could such a perfect father have such a big flaw? "It's the wine's fault! It bewitches people and makes them stupid!" This is how Diona began to hate alcohol, and also how good fortune came to the Cat's Tail tavern. That being said, Margaret, the owner of the tavern, never expected any of this to happen. Rather, she had a much simpler reason for hiring Diona. "What choice did I have? She's too pretty not to hire her."

Many customers thought Diona's cat ears and tail were part of her waitress uniform. This was until one day, a completely drunk guy pulled her tail out of curiosity. To his surprise, it was actually warm and very soft. That day, Diona turned the tavern upside down. These feline characteristics are the most distinctive feature of those with feline blood in their veins, something extremely rare in Mondstadt. In addition to their physiology, Diona and her father, Draff, also have great hunting skills due to their lineage. Stealth techniques, archery, climbing, or dodging skills... Diona has never needed anyone to teach her any of these. "Oh yeah, and thanks to his eyes, he can see very well in the dark too." "As for her flaws... Diona's appearance in the Mondstadt wine industry had a great impact on it. "Oh! It's exquisite! I can feel your great passion and love for wine when drinking this." Diona's hands began to shake as she held the cocktail shaker. The astute Elzer immediately understood what was happening as soon as he detected a change in Diona. "If a brilliant waitress like you were to collaborate with the Sunrise Vineyard, Mondstadt's wine industry would reach an unprecedented boom!" Later, when Diluc asked Elzer why his hand was bandaged, he hesitated a little and said: "I... I was bitten by a cat."

In Diona's hometown, there is a legend about a "spring fairy." Once, the fairy saved a desperate mother and son who were standing at a well. She filled the dry hole with torrential water, which gave rise to a spring. The child, who was seriously ill, was miraculously cured by the water from the spring. Many people wanted to see the holy waters with their own eyes, so after settling in the surrounding area, they never wanted to leave that place. Over time, the settlements grew until they became the small Aguaclara Village. Today, most villagers believe that it is just a simple legend, and some even say that it is a "strategy to attract tourists." Only little Diona believed in the existence of the spring fairy, and on nights when her father was sleeping soundly, she would speak to the reflection of the moon in the spring water. Her feelings were sincere, innocent and beautiful; feelings worth responding to. That was what the spring fairy thought. So Diona made an incredible friend, a companion with whom she could share her feelings and, at times, alleviate her loneliness. On the night of her seventh birthday, when the moonlight was reflecting off the spring and, in turn, on her face, Diona heard the soft voice of the fairy. "I bless you, daughter of hunters. This is my gift for your future days and my way of saying goodbye to you. May your cup always overflow with the sweet wine of happiness, and may it always be fresh like the springs of eternal melting snow." From that day on, the spring fairy never appeared before Diona again, causing that memory to remain forever in her childhood. Diona has not yet realized that her problematic physiology might have something to do with that dream.

In reality, Diona's aversion to alcohol is not "hate" but comes from greed. She wants her father to forever be the person she admires, and she treasures every moment she spends with her family, but she doesn't want to share that happiness with wine. Once there was a storm that lasted three days, and during those three days, his father, who was hunting, did not return. Bad weather prevented the Knights of Favonius search teams from making much progress, so Diona began to fear that she might lose her father. If he was incapable of sharing, how could he bear to have something completely "stolen" from him? So he left home in the middle of a raging storm. The water in his path was frozen in place by a power he had never had before. Using his superb tracking skills, he found his dad under a cliff. With the help of the other hunters, he returned home to his father, and only regained his usual smile when he could confirm that he was okay. "Do you... do you want me to make you a drink?
